Update for Pakistan Passport Holders - Today's Events

Yes, as I said, it works depending on your profession.  Lower level professions are still facing problems with visa on arrival at the causeway.

On the new work / visit visa front, I just checked and unfortunately, the problem is still there.  However, there are some visas being approved but a lot are also being rejected (Even dependent visas such as husband wanting to bring wife to Bahrain)

However, no clarity yet on when this is expected to be resolved.

Dear my profession is engineer i think is it not issue..

XTang

That is very strange then as I have friends with similar professions who have crossed over within the last week.  You were turned back from Saudi immigration?  if that is the case, then it could be just some officer who is in a bad mood.

usmanali101

Yes maybe immigration  officer some miss communication .

XTang

Sometimes at immigration, especially Saudi, it depends on their mood.

I do a trip every week since the last year at least and the things I have experienced defy logic.  As examples:

- Not allowing me to exit Saudi because I handed over my passport with the left hand and it offended him.  After 30 minute wait, a supervisor intervened to let me through
- Bahraini female not allowed to enter Saudi because the officer wanted permission from her husband despite it not being needed for Bahrainis.  Waited an hour, shift changed and she was allowed through by the next officer without any question
- Officer in a bad mood and decided our passport pictures didn't match us and sent us to the hall
- Asking if we had drinks because they smelled whisky while we are EXITING Saudi (not coming in from Bahrain)

In these situations, it is always best not to argue with the guy on the counter and just go inside to find a supervisor.

Dear Members..

Anyone got bahrain family visa in recent days?Pls let me know..Thanks

XTang

As I posted above, yes there are some approvals here and there.  A couple of people I know got their family visas last week.   But also, a lot got rejections.  So basically, it seems to be happening on a case by case basis and the problems remain.

Malik_j

I give up !!!

Visit visa seems an impossible thing , no updates for it at all !!

Allah will see and will surely deal with the ones who are responsible for all this situation!!

I just pray that one day I will surely be able to meet my parents !! 💔

Enigma_j

Any update on Local Transfer Visa? I know there is no issue on RP as mine was renewed the next this problem surfaced.

XTang

Mobility and renewals are fine.

Enigma_j

Good to know that at least. Thanks

What is his profession on iqama?

raheelar

Latest update from my friend  whose profession is Marketing Specialist was stopped until he showed his Bahrain CPR was allowed to go.
Upon reaching Bahrain counter, he asked what is the issue with Pakistanis now?
He said no issue with Pakistani's anymore. Only Bangladeshi ban.

This proves that Bahrain has not issue anymore but it is Saudi authorities which are causing the trouble. Bahrain officer said the Pakistani issue was last week but not anymore.

Another friend of mine came last night from Riyadh having Computer Programmer was stopped by Saudi officer, when he went to the office to request that he is coming all the way from Riyadh, then they said ok Yalla go after making a note of reference for next windows.

hope this latest feedback helps.

zaheerabbasrizvi

Today I visited Bahrain through Causeway. He stopped me and asked about my profession. I told him my profession is Manager Marketing. He said you can go no problem

Managers Doctors and Engineers  have no problem

They dont exit you from Saudi if they ask you to uturn from Saudi Immigration. So your exit re entry will not be used.

biddym4u

I heard that from Pakistan u cant enter to Bahrain even u have Saudi Arabia Visa.

Awaisee

You heard wrong , it's depending on professions.

As others said, exit re-entry won't be used.

To be really safe, take a flight from Riyadh directly to New York.

Or if you HAVE to take it from Bahrain then book a flight from Riyadh to Bahrain.  DON'T come over the causeway.  So far, they have no issues with visa on arrival at airport - as of today.  Tomorrow, I don't know.  Hence, the safest option above.

zuhaibsaif

Todays update.
No luck.
Saudi issued the exit, no issue (it will waste sr200 for people with single entry).
Went into office on Bahrain side. They simply said strict orders no pakistanis or bengalis.

raheelar

yes you will be fine since your profession is engineer

zuhaibsaif

Two things i noticed today:

The custom authorities have orders to disallow Pakistanis however if you can explain your problem, they have the power to approve your visa. So its not a blanket ban. Today i wasnt allowed to go but a driver was issued the visa when he stressed as he lives with his sponsor in bahrain and has nowhere to go.
Secondly, the bahrain customs told me that they are only allowing pakistanis who are on a "approved professions list" or those with family issues. So its a case to case basis.

Still major diplomatic failure from pakistan. Shame!

hello and assalam o alaikum

I am pakistani expat living in hofuf (close to khobar). I have been planning to visit bahrain since last 2 months and have been following this thread since long.

I just wanted to confirm that whether Safety Technicians are allowed to go by causeway to Bahrain or not? and other thing is that my wife is on visit here in KSA and here 90 days visa is now close to expire, so need to exit her one time from KSA and then come back.

what are the possibilities of my visit ? if anyone can help me how to proceed as I have only time since 6th September, 2018.

regards

UK007

Today my family was also rejected. Visa was applied on 1st August.

Right now, no one can tell you with any certainty.  People are being turned back from the causeway.  Even yesterday, some of the guys from my ex-company who were previously allowed to cross (in the last few days due to their profession) were stopped and not allowed through.

With a Pakistani passport and no visa to Bahrain, I doubt that they would allow your wife to exit and re-enter.  You can try your luck but the best bet is to send her on a flight to somewhere else and then bring her back to Saudi.

5 BD for up to a 2 week one
25 BD for a one month one

As standard, they stamp the 25 BD one so make sure to ask for the 5 BD one.

Hani196

If your wife is on visit visa then renew your wives visa. U don’t have to go to bahrain or anywhere

umais009

Pls update about current status if anyone knows about visa ban?

raheelar

in Express Services  under CIO tab, mine says :

There are issues with the provided data , employer needs log on to the EMS system to view and correct these errors.

My agent thinks its normal and it should be fine.

Please provide your opinion if he is right.

XTang

As far as the message is concerned, it is a standard message and could appear due to many reasons.   So the agent is right in that.

However, do note that your application has NOT gone for immigration approval yet.  After CIO, the next step is NPRA.

That is where most of the applications for Pakistanis are getting rejected and NOT at LMRA/CIO.

As of today, the situation is unchanged for new work and visit visa i.e. some approvals here and there but mostly rejections.

For visa on arrival via causeway, it is again unclear but most people are being turned back.  I will be going to the causeway later and will try to talk to them to find out - I don't have an issue in crossing myself as I have Bahrain residency.
