Hi Friends,

Sorry to trouble you all again with the same old question that what would be the avaerage cost of living in Singapore. I have a little kid of 2 years and will be moving to Singapore in June with my hubby. So I am very much worried about accomodation, food, education and the tiny things of day to day life.

So please help me by giving your precious opinion as how much money is necessary to maintain an average life there.

Thanks a Lot.... :)

Hi Ruchi,

Since you have a family i would list down your main main expenses as below :

Rent - 1500 (1BHK), 2000 (2BHK)per month
Transport - 100SGD for 1 working person per month
Water, Electricity & Gas - 100SGD per month
Internet & TV - 70-100 SGD per month depending on the plan you take.
Food - 400-500 SGD per month for a small family i would say.

I have no idea about the expenses of children education.

Hope this helps you.
