Saudi work visit visa exit-entry via Bahrain causeway

My mother-in-law is having Single entry Visit visa with OPEN Status.
1. Can she travel to Bahrain thru Causway in my Car (I am Saudi Resident with valid Iqama) by obtaining transit visa & fly from Bahrain to India ?
2. Can she travel with transit visa as she we are going to stay for less than 48 Hrs in Bahrain ? or she has to take visit visa of Bahrain ?

Note: my father-in law is having Multiple visit visa with open status & he is also going to travel with us. But after going thru forum I undrstand for him there won't be any issue to fly from Bahrain after getting exit from causeway.

Only thing is can my mother-in-law take EXIT from Causeway & fly from Bahrain with a Single VIsit visa with OPEN Status???

Theoretically, yes.  If they have Bahrain visas which allow them to enter into Bahrain and then Saudi visa is open, they can leave via the causeway.  They don't have issues with this on the Bahrain side usually.

Both of them require Bahrain Visa (obtained from the embassy).

Visa Status: Visit Visa/Multiple Entries/5 Year
Is By Air mentioned on her Visa: YES

We reached the Causeway at about 10:45pm on Thursday Evening, the traffic was much less than the usual, with mostly 10 cars on each lane.
I have an Iqama and my Mrs is on Visit Visa. No complications whatsoever, and no questions asked. Got stamped swiftly on the Saudi Side. A few routine questions on the Bahrain side as to whether it's the first time and so on, paid SR 50 for a single entry tourist visa for The Mrs, and in 40 minutes we had crossed the causeway with no complications. Return was as smooth too, no questions asked, no complications of any sort.
Things seem to be laxed at the bridge, but again, don't take my word for it that it applies to all nationalities. I specifically stated American so that others might check their own status as well.

We took another trip for new years, and the same, no obstacles happened on both entry and exit.

Please do share if any faces an obstacle.

This sounds exactly like my experience in September 2019. It seems that Americans at least are getting a free pass on the "By Air" requirement. I am American as well and my visa specifies "By Air". The only difference I see between your wife's situation and mine is that I have a business visa rather than a visit visa.
