Ship belongings vs sell them before moving

Abasiam

Hello,

I will be moving to Canada from Europe, and am trying to figure out whether it would be worth it to try and take everything there with me (including a bicycle, a standing floor fan, some white goods, and other random items from around the house), since time is not a factor and I can do without my possessions for upto a few months. I could, on the other hand, try selling them all and move with the bare minimum I would need, and may even be able to have a friend sell them on my behalf once I leave.
I would really appreciate any input that could help me get this done with!

Cheers

Anything that plugs in should be able to handle 220 volts.
Check that before anything else.
