Hello to all

Does anybody knows how the Foreigners office works?
As a foreigner, we have to register at the office after arriving to Stuttgart but how do people have to do that? there are Special appointments for that and where to ask for one or special attention hours for the process??

Also about documentation... any info?

I would really appreciate the help!!

Every foreigner moving to Germany has to register at his/her local town hall or registration office ("Meldestelle" or "Buergerbuero"). It's easy, quick and free of charge - just fill your particulars and new address into a form, sign and submit.
Not every foreigner moving to Germany has to visit the Auslaenderamt (foreigner office). Whether you have to, and which formalities you need to complete there, depends on whee you are from and which type of visa you have. Most foreigner offices are appointment-only, so call ahead for booking your slot.
