Re-testing of Medical for X-Ray
Hi,
I came here in Dubai on work permit 6 months ago. I am holding residence visa. I have my wife with me here on visit visa. I am looking to sponser her for residence visa. But she has a cured TB scar (18 years old one). I had her sputum tested while in the home country 1 year ago with report stating negative AFG bacillus presence report.
Can someone tell whether still it will be an issue for visa if they find scar here in UAE?
I am tensed. Kindly share any info.
Thanks
I have already advised on this many times in the forum. Use search.
But basically, yes. For dependent visas, they can choose to grant on compassionate basis. However, the process keeps changing. Up until now, when the scar was detected, they would ask the person to leave and then the spouse to apply to lift the ban via special permission. Follow up directly with MOH for latest process.
Hi Airajin,
Hows ur result of your re-test medical?
Coz I have same situation as yours 😔
Hope, it wil be ok Once you got result, kindly post here
Hiii..
For the visa change my husband went for a medical test yesterday.. x-ray n blood test. But he received a cal today asking him to come fr another test to Baraha hospital. He suffered frm TB many many yrs back n he is perfectly fine now. What mite b d reason fr him being called again??
Hello sir
I have some questions I would be thankful if you can explain to me
I am living in uae for last 12years. My husband is a businessman based in Ajman free zone. Last year we moved to DMCC free zone . Meanwhile we wanted to change our visas from Ajman to Dubai.
When I did my medical I was asked to go to muhasinah for retest and doctor told me that there is a minor scar in my lung so they want to rule out TB. I was asked for sputum test for 3days. First is done today. I am a housewife and no history of TB.
So my question is :
If it is active TB would they deport me and ban me??
In my case where I am a resident for 12years and just changing status within country what is the rule about active TB? Is there a chance of 1year visa with treatment?
Should I go for gold TB test ???
Hi
Hope it would be clear
According to uae medical resolution those who has even having TB under family visa will permit with conditional fitness certificate.
In case if you are working and switching to new job inside the country means most probably allowed to work.
In my case I have been 3 years in uae, had switched new job inside uae and permitted by almighty god (thank to god).
Note: i have a scar with no history of TB.
Seek help to god is the final solution.
Thank you very much
I am a housewife. I really hope I get through this bcoz I can’t afford a ban. It will affect my kids studies and everything.
One more query
My last visa was cancelled in August 2020 almost 5months back. Does it change anything??
I mean someone told me that if last visa cancellation is less than 6month , I could have a chance
Don't getting confused, IN this situation more things on our mind makes conflicts.
Hope once you got a result just post your experience to others reference.
Hi there
So here is the update
Yesterday I got the report and it says FIT
Very happy and relaxed
I also consulted a doctor last week he did some blood test and after seeing report he was hundred percent sure that everything is alright. So god knows what that scar was.
Thank you everyone
Hello sir,
I hope you are well.
My sister has been deported last year because of an inactive tuberculosis. She received a ban from federal authority of identity & citizenship. Her company told her to take medication in our home country and once cured, submit the medical certificate and medical records.
Now that she is done with the medications and cured, is it possible for a family member to try and lift the ban? Me and our father is working here in UAE.
I have read some articles to present the documents to the same medical centre she got tested.
Thank you
She can come as a dependent and for that, exceptional approval is usually given (note that she can be sponsored by her father if she is unmarried and up to a certain age but beyond that, no). But she can never work in the UAE.
I had tb in 2018.I am new here. For job visa i had completed the medical. But in medical is said to test sputum test. What is the after effect after getting result
Im done medical in alqouz after 3 days ang i recieve message kindly requested ro attend blocked#7 muhaisnah medical fittnes please kindly give advice
Hi...
I had cured from TB back in 2014 and i have a minor scar in my lungs. I want to get residence visa in Dubai. Does, by doing blood test, sputum tests and skin test prove that I had past TB?
Kindly help.
Hello Sir.
I am an engineer from Pakistan. I got diagnosed with TB in 2010 and got it treated. Now I am healthy but I have scar on my left lung. Due to my vast experience, I am receiving offers from dubai on my linkedin profile.
Lets say if I go there and they take my medical and see scar in xray, will they go for the sputum, skin and gold test to verify if I have active TB or not. Or they just will finalize the decision over x ray only. Cause my x ray got scars but my sputum , skin and gold test are negative that shows my TB is in active.
I am not accepting any of the offers because I am afraid that if I agree to one, I might get deported and put in blacklist for life.
I'll will be highly thankful if any can brief me with this.
They will check sputum. For new visas, old scars are still a problem even if sputum test is clear.
Hi sir
My medical in unfit and they said the result is old tb so they will deport me even if its pandemic or travel ban? And you know i dont have money to buy ticket becoz its expensive what should i do
What if my company did not send or post the medical result in immigration so i can get another visa in other company or they can tract my passport? Beacuse i see my medical there is an expiration date?
You are asking irrelevant questions which have no bearing on your issue. You are marked as UNFIT by the health authority. That result is visible to the Government and linked to your personal details / passport. You need to leave as you will not get a visa.
Thanks Sir. So it will all go down to scars? No sputum or skin test or any other test can make sure to get a fit certificate from dubai health admin?
Let me add my bit to the retesting discussion. I have been checking this forum over the past 2 weeks because after my medical test, I was sent a message to go to Block 7 Al Muhaisnah. My heart sank.
On getting there, the doctor told me they observed an old Tb scar on my X-ray, asking whether I had to when younger, whether I stayed at hospital for long period, whether I had COVID or pneumonia recently. I never had or was not aware of any of those.
They took my weight, drew new blood sample and scheduled me for 3-day sputum testing and another X-ray 2 weeks after. The doctor wrote antibiotics to be used over 5 days - which I bought and took religiously. The antibiotics are meant for pneumonia from the leaflet details.
I gave the first sputum sample same day- and completed sputum samples submission following Sunday.
I then told a few people that could pray with me and started hoping for the best. I must say it was a very tough 2 weeks, with all manner of thoughts flowing through my mind. I googled similar issues and came across this page, where clearly most retesting cases did not end well.
I went for the repeat X-ray as per schedule. I was so anxious and asked the doctor when the result would be out. She informed that it would be mailed in 2 days. I didn’t really know what to expect. I asked her if the sputum and blood tests were okay, to which she unconvincingly answered YES, but that the medical committee will analyse all tests and decide.
On the evening of the following day, I got a mail from my company stating that the medical result was out and I had been issued a FIT certificate! I was overjoyed.
I needed to give this update to encourage someone that the retesting is not a death sentence, a positive verdict can still come out. Hope and pray for the best, and be medically careful out there as well.
Thanks!
Good afternoon
Pls kindly advice. I did my medical fitness test on the 1st of August 2021 and I was to collect my result same day but wasn’t possible which I had to contact thier office number on the third day and I was direct to visit * Result not issued yet, its required for you to visit al ghubaiba preventive medicine room number 9 (xray) before 2 pm* I went there immediately and I was told they saw something which they couldn’t understand on my chest and I was also asked if I have treated any chest infection before. And I replied the nurse that have treated pneumonia before and I was also asked if have treated COVID and I said no. I was told to go back that I will receive my result 1 o clock of today which I haven’t see
I don't have scars on my chest and have never suffered from tb but I found that my quantifieron gold tb is positive when I did my blood test so can I get work visa in UAE.i hope they only see marks on chest.
hello xTang ,
may you be bless for answering our inquiries and concern on this thread.
i just wanted to share my own piece of experience recently i took my medical and went to moheisna for a re test . i took a sputum test for 3 days and took a blood sample on the last day. Apparently the dha sent a mail to my hr that i am unfit to work. i wanted my company to cancel me instead so i was hoping to get a tourist visa and live here in dubai. but that plan didn’t work. the immigration called my employer saying that i need to go to moheisna. they did not know what is it for . i am afraid it might be for the eye scan and deportation. i was asking for an email from them so that i would know what to do. if i would go to moheisna would i be confined and no longer go out until my plane ticket is issued? Prior to having a medical to alquoz i also went to have a medical or pre test screening for employment at one of the hospital in dubai, even went to a specialist in lungs and their opinions is that i am fit to work. can you please advise me .
thank you .
Nowadays, they call you for eye scan after marking you UNFIT but don't usually detain you and let the employer handle it. It is very difficult to overturn decision after it has been passed to immigration - follow up checks should be done before the medical decision has been rendered.
exactly, should we have given a chance to heal or do medications before rendering a final decision. we have a covid 19 situation versus an old scar tb and we are permanently banned? is it that not just fair and inhumane? i don’t know what to do anymore ? any advice for me ?

Hi dear, did u fix situation with your sister?
Nope , its actually mine and not my sister, I have gone to muheisna and did the eye scan test. I will be flying back to Phillippines for deportation, gladly they allowed me to have some time to settle some things I have here in Dubai. I have witnessed some who got deported immediately due to serious health issues.

Here have anyone who removed ban and did sponsor viza? Can u give advice plz, how to start this process ( where, what paper need)and if its really to do!? Thank u guys, good luck for everyone

Sorry about this( i had same situation ((( its very bad rule, specially when before did work viza in uae and will be all ok...and after uae send u back like garbage....
