I'm looking for:
- places in Muscat where I can buy good quality furniture
- suggestions on how to get furniture delivered from Ikea Dubai - I understand it is common practice

Home Center, Fahmy Furnitures, Khimji's Furniture, PAN Furniture, Golden Furniture are just some of the few that pop into my mind when I think of furniture stores in Muscat. There are plenty more too. Mostly along the Al Khuwair service lane off the Sultan Qaboos Highway.

There are also a few stores that cater exclusively to the tastes and preferences of the locals (like Golden Furniture). Scanning through the local dailies will tell you the various offers and deals that are being offered currently.

Regarding IKEA, the process is pretty simple. Visit IKEA in Dubai. Choose the furniture you want. While billing tell IKEA that they have to be shipped to Muscat, Give IKEA your complete address, with location landmarks. Pay the bill. The products will be shipped to you and should reach within a week or thereabouts.
