Hi Everyone,

My husband has been offered a job in Santiago, Chile. He has 7+ years of experience in IT industry.

We both are planning to move to Santiago,Chile by next year (2019).

Can someone please tell what salary should be good for two of us to lead an above average life?

Thank You.

Best Regards,
Rutha

Hi Rutha

I've got the same experience and have been offered a job in Santiago, Chile. This seems like almost similar to my situation.

I had gone through many blogs since last few weeks and could not found anything which states clear payscales (their are few https://www.payscale.com/research/CL/Lo … ago/Salary which am not able to vouch for). An inference i had been able to chalk out from all the resources was; Chile is not paymaster like its northern counterpart. Similarly, it is not expensive (like US) when it comes to stay (which usually is maximum) and other household expenses.

To specifically answer your question, how much for duo would be sufficient is really hard to tell but the statistics says 425 USD/month considered to be as a min wage for Chileans. Rest on top of it, you'd have to sell yourself at maximum.

Hope it helps

Thank you very much :)

Rutha
