*** Looking for connections to network/meet for job opportunities in Museums, University or Art Gallery, University settings ***

Hi everyone,

I am ecstatic to be in this new adventure in New Zealand.

I will arrive in Feb25, visa ready and will be in Auckland, also willing to be anywhere!

Seeking help to connect and network with those in Museums or University settings as I hope to continue to develop my career in Project in these sectors.

I have 10+ years in operations and administration for one of the main financial institution here in Toronto, Canada. My responsibilities have allowed me in-depth exposure in coordinating projects for technology upgrades, premise management, real estate planning, and process development, and training

I would love to migrate my passion for Anthropology, Museum, and History with my professional abilities as a relationship builder and a cultural observer. Explore where I can fit in, who to connect with, job shadow, intern, assist..... etc., help me put these pieces together.

Over coffee, beer, a stroll, I am game!

thank you in advance,
Imelda

Welcome to the forum.

Perhaps you should contact museums and universities in the bigger centers about possible employment.

Would definitely consider that approach.

However, I am slightly reluctant as I may come off "too forward".

Hoping for an individual to buffer and bridge.

stumpy

No buffering or bridging here in NZ.  Contact each and make an appointment meet with them.

Ah.... Thank you!

Is it common practice to cold call, do an interest interview type in NZ?

stumpy

Yes
Contact them, if they are interested they will make an appointment to see you.
