Requesting information on moving to San Ignacio

bobbymel

Since there are a multitude of questions in moving to Belize...specifically San Ignacio, is there a central place, body, person, or consultant that can answer and/or provide me with the many answers to my questions? Thank you for your help.

The short answer would be "no". You will have to research everything on your own. We all have different needs and agendas, and what would suffice for some would not for others - your best option is to visit.
Are you planning to come as a permanent resident or QRP?  Working in Belize is not likely to be an option. Are you renting, or buying, or building?
You can find the answer to many questions using the search function on this site, and some general information here - https://belize.com/residency-and-retirement-in-belize/
Good luck to you.

Plenty companies out there offering the service but to be very honest and I'm saying this knowing people who work for these companies and have dealt with them, they will tell you whatever you want to hear so they can get your money. Come for an extended visit and talk to people here and quite a few people because people's experiences differ tremendously, if I went only by the post's I read on the different forums I would probably have never made the move
