Private Insurance Age Limit and Pre-Conditions

As an American applying for a retiring visa, is there an upper age limit when seeking private insurance? Also, like in many countries do pre-conditions become an issue? Thank you

I just checked with a popular spanish insurance company. I sort a quote for an 80 year old It said I too old for a quoted course

If one is offered cover then existing conditions would always be considered and probably excluded. Thus the cover provided would not be sufficient for residence status

As long as the insurance provides full
Cover I do not believe it matters where the company is located

A Spanish insurance company would be more familiar to the Spanish Consulate where I will be applying, and would not require translation of the lengthy policy document - perhaps important enough reasons for selection. Could you please name one or two such companies in Spain worth considering? Thank you. -nowretired

I suggest if you search on the internet under ‘spain medical insurance’ or ‘seguro medico España’. you can choose as many companies or agents that suit you for quotes

I cannot suggest which company might be suitable for you
