photo managing utility software

IrfanView is usually enough for simple editting on your photos; and it allows you do a nice slide display with a background sound. The output is an .exe file, which can be run even if you do not have the software.

I discovered UTube does not allow you to upload your video or whatever as an exe file, it has to a file with extentions avi, or mpeg. I am articularly looking for a slide presentation software that can create a file that can be uploaded to YouTube .

Which software do you think is the best in terms of size, being user-friendly and affordable in general and particularly will solve my problem?

I used Irfanview a few times and yes it's useful but maybe a little bit complicated at the beginning

Have you ever tried Picassa? http://picasa.google.com/ (I never used it but I heard about it)

I've downloaded and liked Picasa in general, smaller then photoshop and much easier. You can create a collage, and a video presentation. But but but, no audio support in video unfortunately.

I use IrfanView a lot too.

I wanted to try Picasa, but, when installing, it started to list all the images on my computer... And I have more than (approximatively) 500.000 pics (my own phootos, some images banks, and other stuff - for my job)...
1) the installing program never asked me if I wanted all the pics listed.
2) it took so long listing the pics, that I stopped the installation ;)

After hours of trying all sorts of software, I decided to buy this one. Very handy, quick processing and cheap. Video effects are good, and audio support is available. You will still need picasa for photo editting, though.
Here is the link, cost 35 USD.
