I have been in norway from the last 3 monts (Dec-March), then me and my bf decided that i will go back again to norway ( july-oct) to get married. Do you think the immigration will ask me the reason, should i say that truth that we will getting married?
You're response is highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello everyone!
I'm new here... I'm a 44yo Spanish woman. I've been living in Oslo for four years and might be moving to Trondheim soon.
I'd like to ask you people about the Norwegian education system. I've got two kids who have been studying in the International School so far, but now I'm thinking about moving them to a public school since I've been told that it might be more convenient in case they ended up attending the university here in Norway.
If anyone around here knows something about this topic (vg, if youngsters who have attended to Norwegian public schools have it easier when it comes to applying for a public Norwegian university or getting scholarships) I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
My husband is born and raised in Norway, I'm from the US. We currently live in Orlando, FL, but my husband just accepted a full-time position in tiny and beautiful Balestrand in Sogne Fjordane, and we expect to move in July!
We've lived in that town with his parents for a year before moving back to the US from the lack of jobs. But as work remote, I can keep my job, too. Hoping an apartment opens up quickly so we can have our own space. Would love to meet others in the area!
Hi All-
I'm an American from New York City undergoing the fiancé visa process with my Norweigan fiancé and planning to move over to Oslo in July. I'm already conversationally fluent in Norwegian and am about the B2 level

Hello mr startelver, how are you today?
My name is Emanuel Júlio am a Gambian I was in Angola for 6years but now am back in my country about 3 months ago...
Now am I want to visit Norway 🇳🇴,i send you this message hoping you can help me in any way possible since you’re Norwegian,...thank you ☺️
hello, if ur planning to go there for tourist visa you should not inform the UDI that you are planning to get married. if u will get married u might as well apply for fiancee visa but if going there with tourist visa never disclose anything esp about plans of getting married. that may cause the denial of the visa. just bring the necessary documents like your birth certificate that is authenticated then u and ur partner will apply to skat for marriage.. that is the process that we did with my partner.
HALLO,
I am moving to Stavanger from July end onwards with my wife from India and will be working as a Research fellow at UiS. I will be totally new to the place and will be looking forward toward making connects and recommendations to visit and explore Norway.
hilsen
Sachin

Hi All,
My name is Amy - originally from Miami, FL, in the US. In Miami, I ran a Montessori school. I love cooking, interior decorating, shopping for anything vintage, fashion and all things nature (except insects, reptiles and rodents).
Due to some extremely unforseen circumstances, my husband (a native Norwegian) and I just moved to Norway two weeks ago with about one week's notice. We are staying in Nærbø, near Stavanger, with his family while we figure out what to do and where to live. I am both extremely excited about and intimidated by all the changes/differences. Even shopping for a bed has proven to be... an adventure? Yes, let's call it an adventure!
I am hoping to make friends along the way. If you have any tips/tricks/recommendations, feel free to message me. You're guaranteed to be appreciated and made to feel like a genius for knowing way more than I do!
Good morning to everyone, I'm a new member in this forum. Please, friends and well wishers who live in Norway can send me a message here or add me as a friend. I wish to inquire about living and working in Norway. I am a Nigerian resident in Malaysia and just completed my Msc degree in Electronics and wish to relocate. I desire to live and work in Norway with my wife who is also an Msc degree holder in Occupational Safety and Health Management. Pls, Can you suggest Cities or Universities that are affordable and not expensive for foreigners. I will love to live there on study grounds which I consider perfect for me considering my status as a student here in Malaysia (This is just my views, although I still welcome other suggestions). In addition, on average which city is more affordable and well suited for family with availability of jobs as well? I am more concerned with having a peaceful and decent life with jobs to keep the family going. This is my concern.
Thanks as I look forward to your advise and suggestions.
Regards
Chidiebere

I'm studying at NMBU in Ås. It's a nice school, lots of international students and many of the masters programs are in English. https://www.nmbu.no/en/studies/study-options/master

Hei alle sammen,
I am a Norwegian citizen that lived in Norway as a small child. I have come back as an adult and have spent the last year re-learning Norwegian. Alongside that, I have been volunteering on many farms while looking for work in the agricultural field. I am looking for advice to have a successful job search for that, or in my other niches such as baking, cooking, or hospitality. I have also applied to several Norwegian learning programs at universities in the country. It has been quite an extensive integration process but it has been worth it since people here are always very helpful and friendly. I feel very lucky that I get to experience this challenge here.
If anyone has advice on this, or would like to know more about my integration process thus far, send me a message!

I´ve always wanted to learn Norwegian. As an English speaker and enrolled in a Norwegian language course in Norway, do you think I would be fluent enough in a year´s time? And what university would offer such learning program? Is the tuition fee expensive? You can also PM me if you wish...
Hi everybody,
I'm currently in advanced discussions with a large Oil & Gas company in Stavanger about moving there for minimum 6 months to work. I have a wife only, no kids. She handles the accounts and admin of our limited company at the moment so will be moving with me, without a job offer herself.
I would be working as an employee of the company rather than working through my limited company. It seems less hassle that way. I wouldn't know where to start with registering my limited company in Norway and getting it set up so maybe it's best I stick to the plan to go staff.
So while they're preparing the offer I need to do some homework. I believe I have found one of the first steps is to register at a cost of around £545. I'm not sure if there's a cost for my wife who will not be working (or will be looking for work while over there).
Then I need to look for accommodation and typical costs of living for a couple in Stavanger. Then I can make sure it's affordable with the salary from my job.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
