My employer tried to reach immigartion aunthorities but they didnt get any response.
in the same forum, one person received after 2 weeks of 120 days.
So, waiting..
Hello,
I’ve exactly same situation. My employer applied for single permit on 10-APR-2019 and I didn’t get any update afterwards.
Yesterday I’ve contacted with my employer to find out admissible and wp approval dates to have an estimation.
Just hoping to get single permit approval as soon as possible like everyone else here
Good luck to all.

I reach my 120 days deadline in 11 days I am a bit afraid now + 2 more weeks? But honestly, 2 more, 2 less after 17 weeks of awaiting is almost nothing
Good luck to everyone, hope you will be more lucky than me and nareshmk <3
Precisely that. I worked in so many countries, never had to wait this long for getting an approval. Never had I checked my email this much in a day - just to see if there's anything. True, Patience's a virtue but it's beyond anything I have ever experienced. Oh lord! bless your children. Amen

I suppose they will make it much better in the future, the process is still new and a bit different from the previous one. So, hopefully, they will use to it soon and ppl will not wait that long anymore. Shall see. As you might see, some are really lucky and receive it quite fast.

Hi All,
My employer applied for single permit on 1st June then 27th June I got email from employer stating that They forgot to take my sign on contract letter. It was submitted on 30th June. Will it take again same to time to get the approval from 30th June?

Hi All,
One more question I have, I got another offer. If both the employers will apply for single permit, will it be problem to get the approval?
or
If I ask to stop, 1st employer who already processed the single permit, Then 2nd employer can apply for single permit. will it be a problem?
or
Shall I go ahead with 1st employer to avoid the rejection/confusion of approval of single permit?
Please suggest....

Hello,
Do that and both will be rejected...
HI,
What is your suggestion then? Shall I go ahead with 1st company only? I should not accept the offer from 2nd company, so that they will not able apply for WP?

Hard to say which one is the right approach. I think it would be very unwise to give you a recommendation on this as none of us here are specialist on what they might do/think.
Rule of thumb is, if your first employer is already processing, let it be. But the ultimate decision is yours.

Ok , That will be better instead of going into some other direction/rejection/hold
Case 1 : I do not agree this point because I could see one my friend who applied during Feb and received single permit on April end. Just within 35 days from admissibility my friend received Single Permit.
Tell me now "Is really the new process is taking time ?"
Case 2. Another one of my friend applied on mid of March and received admissibility by mid of April and still the Single Permit approval is not received.
Tell me now " why they are taking more time once they settled on processing ?"
Hi All, I got single work permit on July 03.
Submitted on - March 20
Admissible and WP approved- May 03
SWP approved- July 03
Region- Flemish
Good Luck to all
Hello all,
How to understand if the work permit has been approved on the same day? Will ministry send 2 different letters or only in the admissiblity letter they will inform it as well?. Region Flanders.

Hi,
regions send the admissibility letter to the applicant (employer or agency who applied your application). Even not to you, so your employer will inform when admissibility was confirmed my the Regions. The Work Permit normally is not mentioned as the one which will be sent (some of ppl received it, some did not, i did not for example). So, normally, due to the official process:
1. Employer received an e-mail once application is admissible
2. Employer, you and the Embassy receives the final Single permit approval.
There is a lot of information about it in internet + on this forum which is not that big actually. Please, spend 30 minutes and read the forum from first to 10th page, you will see all the info you need to.
Thanks @Kostadron I haven't received the WP yet. But it's been a month since admissiblity letter still no information from embassy. My contact starts by June actually. And it's been more than 3 months since my contract, so if I calculate according to ministry it's like 7 months for me. 😔.

Authorities have 4 month since the admissibility e-mail to provide you a Single Permit. So, take a look at the date when your application was excepted as admissible and plus 120 working days. Here will b a dead line.
They may give it in 2 month, can give in 4. No one knows when
Hi everyone,
Congrats for those who have received the final approval lately.
I have applied on 22-02-2019 so 133 days ago...
But I have only received my work permit on 06-05-2019 because my employer had to submit additional documents twice.
If I understand correctly, the 120 period only applies to the time frame between receiving the admissibility notice from the Region and the SWP from Office des Etrangers. The overall application period does not count.
Thanks for the clarification and happy end of the week

Yes, 120 days are starting once you receive the admissibility e-mail. So, all time BEFORE the admissibility letter does not count.
I have never received an admissibility email and my employer neither.
They just received a letter with the work permit. I am afraid that they did not properly fill their email on the application section.

This is really weird, but work permit can never be granted if Regions do not declare the application admissible. Means, they declared it admissible, but...forgot to inform you? It is really weird
Hello everyone,
Finally receive single permit
Application date 25 march 2019
Admissible 4 april 2019
Final decision 4 july 2019
Work permit was approved at the same time with single permit.
I wish you all the best.

My application was submitted by my employer in Brussels on 4-Apr-19. Still haven't heard anything since then. My application was a fresh application from outside Belgium.
I now asked my employer to find out the the date when the application was accepted so I can estimate roughly when I will get an answer. I am due to start my job on 1-Aug.
Is there anyone else who applied before/around me but still waiting for a response/got any response at all?
Has anyone tried to call Brussels Economy and Employment (Direction de la Migration économique) to find out about application admissibility date or anything as such? My employer went quiet with a reply of "we will get back to you" ever since I asked for application admissibility date. Is there anyway I can confirm the date myself by calling them? At least I would then know, roughly when I can expect an answer. I know it varies but for peace of mind really. Many thanks

Hi,
Untill your employer tells you about the admissiblity letter there is no other options.
Dear Guys,
I am a non-Eu citizen living in Portugal. I am eligible to travel within Europe and Belgium. I got a job offer in a private company in Ghent and to me, it looks like I am eligible (along with my employer) to file an application for a Single Work Permit.
However, I do not understand the concept of residence of commune. Do I need to find a residence first in order for my card to be delivered in Ghent? Or should I need to still apply for a working visa in Portugal to come to Belgium and then find a residence of commune?
Any suggestion to understand this technicality will be highly appreciated.
best regards,
Lav
