Anyone got admissiblity letter after June and got WP or SP. It seems like after June they say direct SP will be sent. It seems like whoever got WP first gets their SP fast or else takes time.

Coolstallone

For me, file was sent 25th June, still no update

PUser

Hello All,

Mine was applied from Flanders region on 8th July. Awaiting WP and admissibility. My employer contacted Flanders region office today for the update. He got the response that they have not touched the file due to backlog and they are processing files of 20th June.
With Holiday season coming up we can expect more delays. Not sure about the situation in Brussels/other region.

Kostadorn

Hi all,

Updates from my side.

Region: Flanders
Application date: 19th February 2019
Admissible date: 13th March 2019
Work permit: no date
Single Permit: 6th August 2019

I have received my Single Permit as Annex 47 + 2 more papers (work permit and the file for the embassy) as far as 120 days dead line has been reached by the DVZ.

Good luck all the awaiters, hope your awaiting time will be twice less than mine <3

fabowuapp

Congrats!!
I'm in a similar situation.
My application was 20 March
Admissible 04 April
Work permit 05 April
120 days is over. Still no single permit.

Did you request for the annex 47?
And how was it given, by email or post?

AmitS01

Good luck out there.

Narendran Kumar

Hello AmitS01, applied in Flanders region.

AmitS01

Thanks Narendran...i have applied to Brussels this week... Do expected times vary a lot depending on the region??

Narendran Kumar

I can't answer that, Amit.  But go through this forum for folks who also applied in the same region to get a rough estimate of the processing time.

Hello everyone, Thank you very much for the great insights on WP Processing. I'm new in this forum & this is my first post.

I work for an Indian employer in Belgium as an expat & I've got a new job with a Belgian employer in Flanders region. They are asking for a mutuality insurance as a pre-requisite to start the WP (Single Permit) process. Is it mandatory that I should provide this document ? (They're also unclear about it but my Work Permit application is still with my new employer saying that this might be required).

I enquired in Partena mutuality but they have asked me for attestation from my employer. My new employer did not give me attestation since I'm not an official employee yet. I currently have the insurance sponsored by my current employer

I've given the below documents as of now ,

1. Certificate of good conduct
2. Copy of passport
3. Medical Certificate
4. Proof of payment of the fee, upon entering Belgium

To be checked : Certificate as proof of mutual health insurance

Any insights would be of great help ! Thank you very much in advance.

PUser

Hi Rajpnr,

As far as I know mutuality document is required in case of extension and not during new SP. For new SP your employer will issue health insurance coverage which will be suffice. They might be enquiring if presently you are covered.   check if your current health insurance with your current employer will do.

madhuskp

hi,

the below link contains a "document" section. in this "document" section you can find medical insurance as i pasted below. may be it can help you.

if you need mutual insurace you need to pay some contributions in social security then only its possible.

an other option is buying RESIDENT insurance in partinamut. but this is eligible for persons who  are completed notice period and not joined new employer (means for unemployed).

as far as i know the current insurance which you are holding will be fine if not you can take a new third party insurance as you are applying for SP RENEWAL.

note: in my case same happend. i am also working in belgium from an indian company. i appiled mutual insurance at partena and i submitted the filled application form as proof of medical insurance where foregin office accepted. but after one month i got letter from patena saying that i am not eligible as mutual bcoz i am not paying social security. by that time all documents for mu SP were submitted and admisible.
at that time i am serving my last days of notice period and after completing notice period i went to partena and told them i am unemployed now and please give me RESIDENT health insurance and they accepted it & i got resident health insurance from partena. so this is my case.

medical insurace section:

Proof that the third - country national applying for a residence permit for work purposes has health insurance may be made by the undertaking of the employer to have him join a mutual insurance company as soon as he arrives in Belgium.

This commitment of the employer is only accepted as part of a first application for residence .

A third-country national applying for the renewal of his or her single permit must submit either a certificate of affiliation to a mutual insurance company or a health insurance contract with a private insurance company.

i too applied in falnders and got SP. good luck.

Hi,

So I finally received my SP, now to get the VISAS.

Indieningsdatum:  14/06/2019
Datum ontvankelijk verklaard:  16/07/2019
SP Received:  Gedaan te Brussel, op 09/08/2019

Good Luck to everyone still waiting!

Not sure if I should stress more or less now :P

rajpnr

Thank you very much madhuskp & PUser.

So normally they should proceed Single Permit process by signing an undertaking form as in below link.

https://dofi.ibz.be/sites/dvzoe/FR/Guid … ladie.aspx

I've informed them the same quoting the references. Hoping for the better feedback from the employer.

Hi,

I work in expat contract in Belgium. My wife came as a dependent to Belgium and got a new opportunity to work here. Her new employer is processing a seperate Work Permit for her.

1. The company which has recruited her has asked her to pay 358 EUR for Work Permit processing as mentioned in below link. Is it normal that a company asks to pay for WP Processing ?

https://dofi.ibz.be/sites/dvzoe/FR/Actu … vance.aspx

2. I'm currently working in expat contract and going to apply for new Work Permit with my new Belgium employer. I've given the details to my new employer as my wife is Unemployed and submitted the necessary documents. My wife also would start processing her WP in a week. Is it fine if I just inform my new employer that my wife got a new job ? Will it have any problems with WP processing ?

3. If both husband and wife are working, would the tax be less for one of them ?

Thank you very much in advance for the inputs.

ansarahmed

Hi Rajpnr,

1. Its not normal Employer should pay the processing fee.

2. Just inform your employer your wife is no more dependent and she is earning, You will see surprise in your salary as your net reduces.

3. Tax will be more.

Best regards

Sethikaran

It will surely take 12-15 weeks..
You have to wait

red.dust

Next week, I am entering the 14th week after my work approval by the Brussels region.

Is August 15th a bank holiday in Belgium? Can we expect a short week at the Foreign office, next week?

Thursday, August 15th 2019 (Assumption Day) is a public holiday. So the office will be shut.

My employer still insists to pay the processing fee of 358 EUR :(  For tax, both myself & my wife will be taxed more then ?

Should the Originals of Medical Certificate , Police Clearance  Certificate be sent to the employer for Single Permit Processing ?

My Belgian employer got only the scanned copies of those documents from me. I currently work in Belgium - Expat contract.

Hello All,

I had applied for Single permit and my file has been recieved by ministry on 12th July, as confirmed from my agency.

It's has been a month now, I did not receive the confirmation on admissibility nor Work authorization yet.

Also, I have a question that I am temporarily left Belgium and presently in India. I have with me my residence permit which is valid till end of November.

I need to travel to Belgium during start of October to start working, since I have my residence permit, I should be able to travel to Belgium, but if I receive the Work Authorization before October, will I able to start working for my new employer?

hekh13

Hello All,
anyone knows if you have a single permit for 3 years and for example after 1 year you want to change your employer (work for another company) should you apply for a new single permit or what?

Thanks

red.dust

I received my Single Permit-Annex 46 today (12th August 2019). Good luck to others waiting for it to happen.

GuestPoster327

Anyone else got an update for  June month Admissiblity letter.

livinginNL

Dear everyone,
I have received an email from ibz on August 1st with the annex 46.

This is my timeline:
Applied : 19 March 2019
Admissibility : 7 May 2019
Work Authorization : ?
Single Permit : 1 Aug 2019 (beslissing tot toekenning van een gecombineerde vergunning)

I applied through my employers in Antwerpen.

Here is where it gets complicated.
I am Japanese and have been living and working in the Netherlands for twenty years.
I will not move to Belgium, so I only need a work permit.
But as of january 2019, there is only a combined single permit.
The stadsloket in Antwerp couldn't give me a "arbeidskaart" or anything because I will not register in Belgium.
My employers and the stadsloket and myself don't know where to go from here.

I have received no further information how and where I can pick up this single permit.

Can anyone help me, are there any other cross border workers? (specifically non-EU nationalities living in the Netherlands and working in Belgium)

fabowuapp

Hi

Finally, annex 47 came today. All the best to everyone waiting.
