Did anybody here apply (or is applying) for a SP for an unlimited period? How is the processing time compared to normal SP application?

Does the unlimited SP means your ID will be automatically updated to B card as well?

Did noone have any experience with this?

Ranjith Chammanthraj

It is been more than a week for me since i applied for the visa.

Did you apply through VFS Global? Did you already went for fingerprint? Which city you went?

It would be an employer/ agency who filed it. Its kind of letter saying your file sent to Immigration office for residence approval. After that it is close to 10 weeks to get the single permit, which yourself will get email.
But the timelines do vary as its govt system. For my friend, the application date was 9 June but he got SP on 23 August itself. You can never know how govt will manage applications.

Okay Thanks! My employer got that letter dated 20/05/2019 (they shared it with me recently) saying the file is transferred for Residence approval.
I will keep waiting for my email then :)
Thanks again!

I am still waiting. Not sure where it is stuck. Does anyone know if we can contact someone? Any telephone number or email?

ABPadhi

Any one applied on August and got any update ?

Ranjith Chammanthraj

I went to VFS chennai and yes fingerprints is mandatory.
How about you?

Belgium Embassy is in Mumbai, so for you the documents will travel to embassy and then return back. But still it should be back within a week. You can check with VFS for the status. They also had an option for getting SMS alert for tracking it, but you had to opt during fingerprint.

Hi all I received my Visa, But unfortunately my employer is saying that there are no projects right now so i have to stay back in India. And they are saying that no idea on when a project cane be acquired. I have already resigned and now they are saying me to take back resignation. I don't know how to address this issue. Can anyone tell me how to address this. And can i check for any other jobs in Belgium due to this reason. If i get a Job do i need to give up this SP and start new procedure again. Can anyone please help me out where i could get a temporary job at-least. Thanks in advance.

Aneesh

it is indeed a very sad situation, but it is what it is. Either you look for some contracting jobs in your home country while your Belgian employer finds some project for you. Another track is to pursue other opportunities in Belgium, but yes, then your new employer need to aquire a new WP for you.

GuestPoster327

Thanks Aneesh for your reply, but the problem is even my employer is  not sure whether he can project or  no.

No, your SP is bound to your employer.

Almost same time line as me.

AmitS01

Which additional documents they asked for

Zhaklin

I know that they asked for a new contract with a higher salary and a copy of passport (it was unreadable).

Mine it took 5 days including weekends.

MittalVibhor

Take one month for WP approval & one month for RP approval.Rough estimation

omidE

Hi everyone, very useful forum here.

Here's my timeline:

Region: Flanders (fresh application)
Date of Application: 25 July, 2019
Date of Admissible: No update
WP approval: No update

Anyone else with similar application dates?

omidE

Have any of the new applications received the letter of admissibility? seems like they are not issuing those anymore due to backlog

Received my SP today. :):)

Expiry of current work permit: 14/09/2019

Date of application for SP: 03/05/2019
Date of Admissible: 20/05/2019
Date of SP: 10/09/2019

ABPadhi

So it takes 4 months to get SP from the date of application ?

But how can Expiry of current work permit will be 14/09/2019 . It should be 1 year or 3 years validity  !!

mohammsh

Hi
Am in same situation
Change of employer (from Brussels(Saint woluwe to Antwerp)

New Employer filed Region Antwerp, Flanders
Date of Application: 23rd June, 2019
Missing documents submitted to ministry : 4th Sept 2019 (Insurance and resignation acceptance letter)
Date of Admissible: 8th September, 2019

Do i need to worry to submit my existing work permit(hard copy)
If yes to whom commune or existing employer ?
Am in India now indefinitely   :-(

since documents are accepted, i need to wait patiently.

Work authorization will approved without any question on documents ?

I heard it takes 11 days max to get work authorization letter after documents has accepted by Ministry. Is that correct.

Officially process is 120days more.

Thanks for the answers.

vikas112dubey

Hi mohammsh,

You dont have to submit the work permit hard copy.
i had the same issue , so instead of submitting the work permit i submitted the resignation proof and a formal letter stating that i will stop working for my current employer once i receive the new single permit.

in my case i got the document request , and i submitted and i got the wp approval on the same day..they seem to be moving files quickly now..you should get ur WP approval any day now...
but be in touch with your employer and insist them to ask the status of the same ..they usually have contact to get the updates..

Please read the difference :)
current work permit (I mean the existing one - not an SP) expires on 14/09/2019

I applied for the SP since my existing one expires on 14/09/2019. Today I received my SP that starts from 15/09/2019 with a year's validity.

mohammsh

My existing work permit will expire on 31st Dec 2019, does it mean i will get SP after 31st Dec ?
seems not logical here.

Anyway congrats you received SP after long wait..
Could yo post your timelines from start
