Hi everyone!

I need some help and advice regarding my situation. My SP is in process since early November and as today no confirmation of admissibility or approval of WP were received. Of course, I know this will take some time to be completed.
My future employer at Belgium is a subsidiary of the company I'm working with in  another country. They are inviting me for a week to attend to some meetings in January timeframe.
I'm concerned because I saw a couple of posts from other people stating that their permit was rejected since they travelled to Belgium before having the SP approved.
Any advise on this? What should I do?

AlexFromBelgium

You've a 90 days visa-free access as a tourist through your costa rican passport, so you're free to go in Europe for maximum 90 days in a timeframe of 180 days.

But you'll have to go back in your country of residence to receive your visa.

Hi All,

Documents has been submitted on 26th September. Received admissibility mail from employer today.

Date mentioned as 20/11/2019.

Could you please mention approximately how much time it would take further for workpermit approval and to receive single permit.

Regards,
Bala.

Dear,

It is constantly repeated / demonstrated by everyone that it is impossible to give an idea of the processing time.

So like everyone else, wait and see

Hi All,

After my Petition is filed , how would we know that my file is with which regiion? On which factor region is decided ?
Someone told that  after our file is with Belgium ministry, our file is randomly sent to any of the regions - Flanders, Brussels, or Wallonia depending on their load.

Or is it like, it depends on area/region of company where we are going to work?
Before moving there we cant exactly tell region where we will stay.

Any idea abt the same?

It is a new application, but I have been living in Belgium for a while now, so maybe it had some influence on the process.

Good luck to those still waiting!

Hope you get it soon. :)

Hi Mayank,

I am also waiting for the SP. My dates are:

Application filed: 21/8/19
WP approval: 27/9/19
Still waiting...

Which region you applied for?

MayankBisht

It’s for Brussels region, WP is approved for three years by end of Sept. I am wondering why it’s taking so long for SP.
My employer also didn’t expect this much delay as I was supposed to start mid November

You may try to contact with info desk

Does Brussels region issuing work permit for 3 years ? I heard only Flanders does that.

MayankBisht

yes my employer sent an email to them and there was a rely of under processing.
I sent and email to the Belgian Embassy in India but they did not reply to me yet.

Yes my work permit got approved for three years. Brussels comes under both constitutional regions and I would have to work in the Flanders region

To my knowledge, the respective region handling the WP is based on the jurisdiction of the work location. Are you certain Brussels processed & approved your WP?

I do not know this but my employer is in Flemish region

Dear Altruist,

I need your suggestion, please.
Please be informed that I got single permit approval with three years validity (untill 28.10.2022).
However I got my renewal residence card at hand with only less than 1 year validity (Till 10.09.2020) for Anderlecht commune although the work permit has 3 years validity.

How can I fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.

AlexFromBelgium

It's not an issue, you've most probably a "A" or "C" card with a validity of one year only.
At some point, next year, you'll receive a letter from your commune that invite your to come to their desk to renew your ID card.

You'll only get a 5 years card when you'll be a permanent resident or member of family of a EU.
Or a 10 years card if you become Belgian.

amitkuet

Thank you so much for your reply.
I am worried because I checked the single permit documents specially the page of "Prorogation du permis unique (carte A- autorisation travail pour une duree limitee" and I found that it mentioned something which is in below:

"La carte A est renouvelee jusqu'au 10.09.2020. Veuillez inserer la mention relative a I << Acces au marche du travail: LIMITE >> ainsi que le numero de I'entreprise: 886.957.013"

Is it normal? Because the work permit page it's three years but in residence permit page it's only 1 year and my residence permit expiry date exactly same as it mentioned in residence permit page.

Yes, everything is normal. You'll have to renew your ID car every year.
After 3 years, you'll need to request a new work permit too.

As long as you're working, you won't have any issue.

Hello,

the mail through the immigration office has not reached me and my employer, but I contacted the embassy and he told me that he already received the communication, my employer contacted the office by mail and they replied that it was already  Communicated to those interested, but to my mail and received nothing, does anyone have a similar experience?

I've seen in some recent posts/updates from other forum members that they received the e-mail with annex attachment a week after SP had been approved. Also check your spam folder as I also came across some posts that the e-mail goes to spam due to no subject.

Hi,

Today I submitted SIngle-permit documents to New Delhi VFS center. They told me it takes 15 working days for visa to come.

Guys any of you who have stamped Single-Permit in their respective passport can tell, how many days it took for your case, for passport to get Single-permit Long Stay stamped ?

I know someone who submitted passport on this Monday in Hyderabad VFS and got the passport back, stamped with visa on Thursday; so it was really quick for him

abdallahe

After 4 months of submitting my file thankfully I got a reply of approval.

I submitted my files on Monday for Visa D and got it on Thursday.

My dates..

File date - 2nd Oct
Query received  - 31st Oct
Responded with required doc - 1st Nov
WP approved : 13th Dec (as informed by employer)
SP --  waiting

It took almost 2.5 months for WP approval only.
If WP and RP are parallel processes I can expect SP soon.
But any guesses about this much delay?
Any inputs or pointers will be helpful .
