Hello Everyone,.
My RP has been rejected after my WP has been approved
Is there anyway to appeal ?
Thanks
Do they gave you any specific reason for rejection? That might help experienced people in the forum to help you better. Hope you can obtain your SP.
Immigration must specify reason(s) why you've been denied.
Actually my situation is special I am originally working in German company in Belgium using blue card from Germany and A1 form So they said that I am not staying in Belgium legally Thats why they rejected the application I think they never received the A1 Form that allows me to stay in Belgium

Hi guys,
I hope this means good news for all of you waiting for the SP to be issued.
If it happens it's really good news for the person like me who is waiting for the single permit from September 2019

Hi guys,

Yes it's good news indeed !
From the news, From now on, the worker or employer only has to make an application to the region they are in, and the prolongation can be approved. In the meantime, the worker has no need to stop working.
Does it refers to the Work Permit approval step which exist now or anything new ? I understood that we can start working as soon as new WP is approved & no need to wait for further approvals to start the work if the existing SP is still valid.
Also the policy seem to be effective already from January 29, 2020 as per this link

You could write the address that you will initially stay.
I made a reservation at a hotel and write hotel’s adress.
Actually, I just submitted single permit documents (x2 copy), Passport, photocopy of my national id (x 2 copy), online completed visa application form (x2 copy), language preference form (x2 copy) and passport size photos (x3) to the visa application centre.
So, I had the print out of my hotel reservation with me but did not need to submit.
Did anybody received Single permit today ?
Renewal of SP
Today I received letter 46 for my SP unlimited.
Date are below:
Applied 20 Jan 2020
WP approval 30 Jan 2020
RP approval 25 Feb 2020
Good day all
I guess I am joining the long list of people waiting for their SP
Would like just to post my timeline... had high hope about this SP process, but now after reading all the post, I have to revise my expectations to the lowest.
Just to know, what exactly do they check there at the foreign office? What do they check to give the right of stay permit?
Applied: 16/12
WP: 06/01
SP: Waiting
Region Brussels
As per my idea you SP will be already approved check with your employer or check where they send previous approvals because I received yesterday but they did not send it to me directly. They send it my consultant which was taking care for my last 4 work permit but this time I applied by myself & they send final approval to my consultant not to me.Its really strange for me also.
I had a question... I am from india working for an MNC.
If my WP is approved and I am waiting fro my residence permit approval can I work remotely from INdia and get paid in belgium until my RP arrives?
My employer is OK with me working remotely but I am just checking if this is OK.
I have checked with infodesk regarding my singlepermit status.
Response is as below.
N SP <Number> <Full Name>
Sent your mail to relevant team.
From the above mail I could see SP number is generated. Does this mean anything in progress ?
I am waiting from sept 26
Does anybody got the same response ?
@Balachandar,
Check with your HR if there are any document missing for your residence;
Else ask them to check with foreign office,
SP means a family file number - where the immigration office puts in all the details (your personal and VISA/SP details etc...) of you and your family in case someone joins you in Belgium in future.
if its already 5 months , it is possible they will react to your file as sooner unless there are missing documents from your employer.

My HR have already checked with them. There is no missing documents. They got response like it's under process and even HR has no clue why it's getting delayed. And my work permit got approved only on 8th of Jan.

Make sure that you've a formal approval from your employer (at least a mail)
And of course you must both have signed the work contract (NOT a proposal of contract)
I came across the below point in one of the website.
"" First-time applicants will still need to obtain approval from federal authorities, but will be able to begin work upon approval from local authorities.""
Does this mean, we can apply for visa without annex 46 ?
Looks like it is the new law... maybe someone experienced can advise?
If it's the case, then that's good news
Does anyone received SP in the last week ? New application, Brussels region

Hello,
From the previous messages, the last account of issuance of a Single Permit here is from Feb 25th. So it’s been around two weeks.
Do you see any reason to think Coronavirus procedures may be affecting routine at Dofi?
My timeline:
Submission - 04/12/2019
Admissibility - unknown
WP - 22/01/2020
SP - Waiting
Thanks everyone for the very informative discussions in this thread.

I also feel quite the same as you, the corona virus might be affecting it. No new single permit in March. Could be just a coincidence, or people who got it recently are not here... but I asked my employer about it and they said they don't have no news about it yet.
Mine is :
Submission: 24/12/2019
WP: 5/2/2020
SP: Waiting
My background: I have studied my 2 masters in Belgium, so I expected this to be a bit faster, but it's not apparent yet.
There is no point in hypothesizing. One of my friend got the RP yesterday. He's not registered on this site.
I can understand everyone's anxiety (had the same when I applied). But its better to have some patience and prepare the rest of the things that are required for your visa process..
and btw, he got his single permit documents on his personal email id. Some people were suggesting the rules have changed and they send it to the embassy etc. But its good to keep an eye on your inbox..and your spam too (I received it in my spam).

Thank you for that information! Good to know that someone received the RP recently.
I understand hypothesizing is not best practice, but waiting makes your mind wander...
Interesting to know that it was received in his personal email as well. I will carry on daily checking my spam.
Hi,
How did you check if your work permit was approved. Did you receive an email or were you informed by your employer?
Personally, I was informed by my employer. They received the email, I did not.
