Hello Vineet,

Congratulations on getting the work permit!!

Wanted to know if the information received on March 13th & last week of March was through e-mail? This should give me an idea as to what timelines I can expect for my single permit processing.

No, I was informed by the consuling agency who filed my application. They were interacting with the authorities.

nareshmk

Hi, any update in your case?

Narendran Kumar

Oh okay!! Thank you.

nareshmk

@Narendra, did you get any update?

Narendran Kumar

Not yet, Naresh. But, it's been only 2.5 weeks since my application was submitted so I need to wait it out until the initial notifications begin.

Hello All,

I've recently received my single permit, hope the following info helps:

Code:

Region: Flanders
Submitted: 24-01-2019
Additional documents requested: 22-02-2019
Work permit approved: 14-03-2019
Single permit approved: 22-05-2019

The whole process took about 4 months. I'm a non-EU citizen residing outside EU. The application was submitted by my employer in Belgium, via an immigration agency as a proxy. I received the approval email directly from IBZ and not from the proxy.

For those waiting, I've been informed that the immigration office takes time in processing pending applications. I'm not quite sure how to decipher this, but maybe it makes sense to someone else.

Hello All,

thanks for sharing this info and it is really help.

Submit: 30 Aprile
Waiting....

I'm a non-EU citizen residing inside EU and i wanna know if it is still necessary to apply for a Visa from the time that i have the second approval?

fabowuapp

I think your file will be automatically sent to the immigration office by the work office.
In our case, my husband got the work permit approval and was told in the letter to wait for the issuance of the single permit by the immigration office. He is currently living in Belgium. He is non- EU as well.

I had applied for a indefinite WP and indeed its taking between 3.5-4 months to get the Single permit.

Below are the timelines:

Region : flanders
Submission date: 3 - Feb -2019
Additional document request : 17-2-2019
Original wp requested to be returned back to the brussels office : 15 Mar 2019
Communication for WP approval : 29th March 2019
Stay approval : 23 May 2019

Sorry , don’t want to crash your mood but it’s 4,5 months total max date. Which is after application 15 days for acceptance of document then it’s starts 120 days period.

Onkaf

Yes ...4 months after admissibility of your file by Ministry.

nareshmk

4.5 months is really too long..

what the hell they are doing with the new rules.. :(

Finlandee

Hello all,

I need some advice on my quite of complicated case. I am a non EU residing inside EU.

My company filed my application on 23 April to the Brussels Region Office. However it turned out that the HR wrongly mistake it because the company location is in Flemish region although it is very close to Brussels.

I was informed by the Brussels Region that my application has been sent to the Flemish Region instead on 23 May.

My contract is supposed to start on 1 June. It is a 3 month internship contract.

It is surely that i will receive my permit really late. How does it affect my contract? Do i have to make a new contract with my company?

Thank you for your help.

P/s: i was applying for the 3 month work permit B, not the 1 year single permit that the others do.

mnade

I have the same problem for starting my contract :(

Familykan

Hello friends,

Please don’t worry about contract, I had contract for 1st of March, and I didn’t sign new one, I’m still waiting my single permit. So it isn’t the issue

sagar_nv

Hello, Can you please let me Know current single work permit processing time. I submitted documents and filed in March 20 and file is moved to internal minister on May 03. Do you know when can I get final approval ?
Please provide your thoughts!!

Onkaf

Ideally they have 4.5 months time for approval after you get WP approval.

This is not correct, after you receive that your documents applicable then it starts the 4,5 months period. Included also work permit in this period.

Onkaf

Ok...In my case and even for my friends our documents admissibility date  and Wp approval date were same..

mnade

Hey!!

I don't know the exact dates, but applied somewhere around mid March by my employer. Still waiting on the Single permit approval. I just know that my file is at the department of foreign affairs since 7 weeks.

Hopefully it comes through soon  ;)

hypophrenia

Hello All,

As per the company’s HR it’s applied on 10th April for single permit. I’ve provided all documents even I’ve sent my medical certificate via post mail by request of HR. I know that process will take up to 4mos. I’m non EU citizen living in non EU country(Turkey).

I’ve 2 questions here;
-is there any portal or website to track/query single permit status?
-HR told me no need for visa application after single permit approved and it also contains visa. I’m not sure about this cuz I’ve also spoke with VFS and they told me I’ve to apply for visa no matter what. Anyone knows is single permit contains visa beside of work&residence permit?

Good luck to all.

Onkaf

Hello,

You have to apply for Visa separately apart from Single permit.

While applying Visa, you have to provide them single permit approval letters ( Annexure 46)

Thanks,
Onkar

hypophrenia

Thank you Onkar for your reply. That make sense since it’s relatively new process HR is also confused about it and they don’t know about the process much I guess.

Finlandee

Can anyone explain for me why there is 2 steps of approval for you guys. The HR is applying a 3 month internship WP for me and i am also living in EU so i will stay max. 90 days and no visa needed. Is the 2nd process u guys mentioned is only for single permit (WP for 1 year, as i understand)? does it mean my WP process will take less time than the single permit process?

samsmith3

Hi,

Thanks for starting this topic. I am in the same situation.

How did you find that your work permit is confirmed? By direct email to you or via your employer?

Thanks
