I agree with it but main problem is people are getting frustrated because of such a delay in approval. And main reason of frustration is when people who have applied after our date, they are getting approval mails and people who applied earlier are not getting.

This is main reason of frustration.

If they are getting overloaded, then they should increase the staff before implementing this rule for Single permit.

We are not getting how they are prioritizing the files.
Some people are getting final approval within 1 month and some are there who did not get till 3-4 months.

Also true, there are sooooo many things still to do after the approval (if this one is received). But you cannot plan anything, calculate dates, buy tickets, plan the visa, plan the start date at work. Just 5 month in total since the application moment when you just have no idea what suppose to happen with your life, because you can get the feedback in 5 weeks or in 18 weeks, no one knows. At least, if they would process files in order, ppl could approximately see which application batch is ongoing. So, it has nothing to do with impatience, it is more about no possibility to structure the plan to make all ok. Only about it.

I completed 120 days deadline yesterday itself.

Is somebody also in same situation? Please mention who are about to complete/already completed?

You see, it is with this kind of thinking and / or behavior that many of you consider that they are poorly received by people working in the administrations.

You look at your navel and that's it! That the person in front of you has dozens of files to treat, that's not your problem. It must focus on your case!

Automatically, this person will think of you "Another stranger who steals the work of a Belgian, if he is not happy that he returns home!"

I worked for a few months in Gujarat for a gas pipeline project for R.I.L. And frankly the operation of the official Indian administrative services is not better than the Belgian ...

We can also made the same reflexion that you have just done "Why some files advance faster than others ..."

You know, in Belgium we have a proverb that says "Before you tell the neighbor to clean in front of his door, clean it in front of yours first!"

On this, have a good day everyone.

Hey, thanks for the update. Does that mean you just did not receive an e-mail with the decision which was made almost 3 weeks ago?

naveenhariprasad

Hi Gainchan,

Just out of curiosity, could you please tell me which commune you belong to ? Also, could you please let me know if it was an extension or change of employer inside Belgium. If it is change of employer, then how are you coping up with the notice period etc ?

Hi phipiemar,

No one said it was a problem only in Belgium, nor that it was better in our countries. But I do believe that every has the right to express his point of view that should be taken as it is without relating his ideas/critics to his race/origin or gender.

Hi,

Can anyone tell while waiting for the single permit, Can I apply for business visa and travel to Belgium (not for doing work but for some project discussions) fro about 3 weeks?

If yes, and if I received single permit in these span of 3 weeks, Shall I continue to stay in belgium on WORK PERMIT? or should I come back to India and apply for visa and then travel?

Please give info on this.

Thanks,
Naresh

I am afraid you will have to go back to India for a long term Visa. Business Visa does not allow you to stay for a long period, so Visa D is needed, you ca apply it only in your Country.

Onkaf

Hello,

Yes you can do it. Because same thing I have did.

But you have to come back to India, apply for Visa and then on long term Visa you have to go back to Belgium

nareshmk

But, I am doubting will they approve my business visa since I have already applied for work permit? and they might think I may going for to do work since .

when you applied your business visa? before the WP or after ?

I suppose dear that After. All VISA applications should have a reason why it should be given.
For my citizenship i do not need a visa at all to enter EU, but still i must apply for Visa D :(

nareshmk

how may are going to complete there 120 days deadline?

abhay5050

Hi All,

Application status

Submission date: 22nd May 2019
Acceptance of application (letter of admissibility): 6th June 2019
WP approval:  27th June 2019

Waiting for the single permit now....

Thank you,

wazaki123

abhay5050 could you tell us which region ? Flanders or brussel ... ?

Thank you

Jamjelly

Hi everyone,

I learned so much from this forum as i am in the same situation. My timeline goes like this

Submission date 28th March 2019
Work permit component, approved 25th April 2019
Single permit approved 27th June 2019

So relieved. However my issue is this. Im currently applying for the visa type D via the embassy in my country. Theres no issue, 5-10 days they said. But the visa for my family will take some time, typically 2-3 months..because the staff needs to send the file over to Brussels.

My question is, is there anyone with the same situation and has gone thru this? Because one of the parents has been granted the single permit, shouldnt the family visa approval be quick??

Any inputs appreciated very much

Aneesh

Normally when the person applies along with his dependants, the consulate in home country takes a positive decision (they dont send dependents file to Belgium in such cases), but if your consulate says they will send the files hre, then yes, it can take months for the decision :(

Hello dear,

Thanks,

Jamjelly

Aah ok fair enough.

Just received a news that the staff at the embassy was still confused about the new rule, so now the visa family will be granted along with my visa..so no sending it to brussels anymore

You must receive a single permit (annex 46) to apply for visa

SimCityAT

You also have to remember the holiday season is practically here so staff in the offices are reduced so things can take that bit longer. The same thing happens every year in summer and winter.

It's definitely a good excuse in case all apps are processing slow and with a delay. But in case some people are waiting from February and some apply in April and already receive a final decision? I suppose, besides the holiday season, witch for sure has an impact, that's something else also. I can imagine amount of work these people have now,but still, the order of the file processing is still unclear. Acceptable (we have no choice :D), but unclear

Hello,
During work permit process I had submit medical certificate, medical certificate for work permit and form_01.
Now for visa again has been asked for submit of medical certificate. So  I need to take same set again for visa or need to take only medical certificate?

abdallahe

When I asked the embassy I was told it's submitted only once so if you gave in the beginning I think you don't need to submit it again.

Onkaf

Yes. For Visa, it's not required to submit medical certificate.

Dear, do you have any news? Did you receive Annex 47?

nareshmk

no, still waiting for annex 47

pravinkumr84

Hello,

Did anyone submit WP application recently? I submitted on 6th June, however, did not get any admissibility or information yet.

Would be good to share the timelines if someone else is also travelling the same timeline..  Thanks.

abhay5050

Dear All,

After admissibility when we can expect single permit final approval, understand it may differ case by case.

Is there any partner they are following?

Thank you

Narendran Kumar

Hello all,

My application was submitted by my employer in Brussels on 4-Apr-19. Still haven't heard anything since then. My application was a fresh application from outside Belgium.

I now asked my employer to find out the the date when the application was accepted so I can estimate roughly when I will get an answer. I am due to start my job on 1-Aug.

Is there anyone else who applied before/around me but still waiting for a response/got any response at all?

nareshmk

Hi,

I applied onFeb 12th and still waiting for single permit.

Thanks bud. Did you try to find out the reason for delay? Aren't you supposed to get an automatic approval after 120 days lapsed?
