Post new topic

sbargujar

Greeting to all Expat member,

i would like to understand more detail about how to come hourly rate and Overtime calculation to help me and all expat community

Option #1
= Basic Salary /  240 hours = ? One hours Rate
                             ( 30 days x 8 hr/ day = 240 hrs )

Option #1
Or
= Basic Salary /  208 hours = ? One hours Rate
                             ( 26 working days x 8 hr/ day = 208 hrs )

Example
Option #1  Basic salary 100 BHD  ( 100 / 240 = 0.417 hourly rate)
Day Overtime     =  0.417 x 1.25 = 0.521
Night Overtime  =  0.417 x 1.50 = 0.625

which is correct salary computation

please guide by Labor law

Thanks and have a nice day

XTang

First of all, it is not 30*8.  Labor law mandates that an employee shall get a weekly rest day off and / or working hours not to exceed 48 hour per week.   So adjusting that, it takes it to 26.  So option #2 is correct.

Cladyssa

I think it's the second option
Basic wage  ➗  26 days of work ➗ 8hours is the rate per hour
