Does anyone know a tool store in and around District 1? The online shops have too long delivery times.

I am looking for a metal saw and metal files.

You might have better luck in outer districts like Phu Nuan, Go Vap, Thu Duc, D 12 or Tan Phu. In areas like these, you will see things like electric drills and saws displayed in front of stores. D1 is for white collar workers.

I was there yesterday.
I found everything I was looking for in a small shop (left street, right side of the street). Everyone was very nice, I paid the same price as the locals and one could even speak a little English.
