Moving to Da Nang with our 16 and 14 year old.

I've checked out the cost of international schools and they are just too expensive so we will be eschooling our 16 and 14 year old. I'm concerned about them meeting friends and am wondering about extra curricular activities so that they can socialize. What sort of activities are available for teens? Are there swim teams, basketball teams????

I'm not sure for the little ones but for my high schoolers it appears to be around $20,000CAD/year. If you go to the school sites and click admissions there is a drop down for costs.

There is any kind of extracurricular activity you can think of here for children. They are all for Viet children though. I'm guessing they wouldn't have a problem with a foreign kid joining but there would be some language difficulties.

True international schools will cost you $10k-$20k USD per year, plus food. There are a few pseudo international schools that run $5k to $7. Though you're paying university type money, the education is subpar to the west.
