Hi, I m about to consider a job offer from Kampala from City Oil as a Retail Manager.

Can anyone advice me,how safe n secure to live in Kampala with Family of 3(2 Adults& 2yr.old Baby Girl).

What is living cost & How is the climate?

The co.is offering me 1500$Tax Free saving with 800000 UGX Salary as a living exp...along with2 bed room furnished accomadation with co.maintained vechile...

Can Anyone also suggest me,How good this offer is...whether one can have comfortable life with this offer...

Kindly let me know in detail...so that I could make my mind to move in Kampala....

Hi Amit,

About safety - Kampala is safer than some of the cities in India.

I am here since last 15 years so take my word.

About your package - first it depends on your lifestyle, but considering what you are given i.e. accommodation and local allowance of 800k, I think it should be sufficient for your family. In last few months things are getting pretty expensive due to inflation and forex rate USHS-USD. Fuel is expensive together with all other imported items (70%).
