I have flights booked with Singapore Airlines from Singapore to Manchester in August and have run into an odd kind of problem. I booked the flight from Singapore intending to fly Malaysia Airlines from Kuching to connect. When it came to adding travel insurance to the booking, I find a condition in the conditions that says 'Only available to Residents of Singapore " I am waiting for response from AIG who provide the cover explaining my situation but taking their time responding which doesn't fill me full of confidence.

Buy an independent travel insurance policy from a Malaysian insurer if you are a resident here. AIG do one.....

Unfortunately out of their Upper age limite. AIG are the insurer for Singapore Airlines but there is no upper age limit when buying from the airline, just less compensation if claim is made. Most Insurers have upper age limite of 80.
