Temporary residence visa questions

liqian201503

Hi, I am non-EU and going to start a job in Cyprus. I will be holding temporary residence visa and working in a company with foreign interests. I was given that the temporary residence visa can only be issued for 4 years and cannot be renewed after 4 years. So does it mean that I will have to leave after 4 years with temporary residence visa? Does temporary residence visa equal to Pink Slip? Thanks!

Not sure maybe its a question for your employer to answer or at least to find out about... as its them that are offering you work  - is it only a 4 yr work contract?

maybe a renewal can be offered.... or maybe you should research permanent residency... if that is your wish

But also remember if you change job whilst here on that work / entry visa it will mean a new visa being applied for.. the current visa will cease to be valid if you leave that job or the employment is terminated.

good luck

HI I was terminated last month on 4th May 2020 from my work and my work permit is expired on 3rd of June 2020, I have been living and worked in Cyprus for 5 years.
Due to covid, I called the immigration office before my work permit expired but none was picked up.

What should I do not to have problem for over staying as I have been applying for some some jobs.
