hi I am dani

I am a structural designer. I have 14 years experience as a structural designer with no degree.  I got called from my agent that my s pass rejected.  I got offer for that position from one of oil and gas in singapore. they offer me $5000(exclude overtime).  the letter from mom didn't mention the detail of rejection, they just said "This candidate is not eligible to apply for a work pass. Please look for another candidate".

Is it due to my education background ?
I've been work in 4 different country and no issue about work visa.

I can onkly speculate about the rejection reason, but for a specialist with 14 years of applicable experience S$5000/month is probably too low. Did you check the SAT tool on MoM's website?

Most likely your origin. In past, many Indonesians have received such messages on rejection. Try in other countries. Good luck

I never check it, because the agency handle everything for my EP/S pass. it doesn't matter my S pass approved or no.  I just wanna know the spesific reason of rejection, because it happened too with my office mate in current company we work, we got offer in the same company but different agency, he got rejected too without specific reason. my agency who handle my S pass said to me "We are trying to get information but not easy. Give us a few days".

MoM has already informed with clear statement that “This candidate is not eligible to apply for a work pass. Please look for another candidate".

This kind of statement I have read in this forum only against Indonesians. Not sure why, may be there could be some reason which MoM doesn’t share.

I have heard it also from other nationalities (e.g. if they are banned from entry or had a criminal record, e.g. for illegal work in Singapore). It is a strong indication that there is not much you can do to change the reason. Better look for a job elsewhere, really!

I never work at singapore before. I just go there sometime for meeting with my client or vendor. The visit duration was not more than 4 hours then i go back to my country. I never stay overnight in spore, so i think i don't have any criminal record.

like surya2k said, that statement happened also with my office mate who got rejected. he never go there before but got same rejection statement. so immposible he got banned if he never go there. it strange, that's why i'm curious regarding the specific reason !
