Hello everyone,

Moving to Brazil is an exciting opportunity to discover a new culture and try things you might not even have heard of before. To make sure other expats and expats-to-be do not miss a thing, would you be able to answer the following questions on activities not-to-be-missed in Brazil?

What are the activities everyone must try at least once in Brazil?

What are the activities that one should partake in if they want to discover the local culture?

Are there any activities that are characteristic of Brazil?

Do you have an anecdote to share about any of the activities listed above?

Please share your experience,

Priscilla

Brazil is diversified and many cultues in areas, from the Amazon, SC, RJ, SP and Foz do Iguacu. If possible one should try to experience the different places to find area they are comfortable. Everyone thinks of Rio for beaches, but there are many others and very different.
Brazil has the World Heritage site of Iguacu Falls, beaches, mountains, forts and climates. The history of many areas can be tracked from the early days. Mining, slavery, shipping and many other industries.
One should explore the largest country in South America, which borders many other different cultures.
I first traveled for work and then began exploring fishing in the Amazon, beaches in SC. Curitiba, SP, Rio and Foz do Iguacu. I found a more "laid back", but busy city and enjoyed nature in Foz that fit my life style as well as PR capital Curitiba for a different perspective.
You have a lot to see and do in Brazil and Rio is well known, but so many other places to enjoy.
