British School Bahrain quality or profit?

Hashimi777

I am a parent considering the BSB, there has been a lot of bad press recently.  Can anyone give me any information.  I hear its owned by a private company.  Looking at their background, it seems to be making a lot of money in a very short time at the expense of the parents and students.

I did a little looking around and the owners are based in London and have many schools and their accounts show healthy profits for owners, Rabih Saab, Stephen Spurr and Nadeem Nsouli.

Can anyone tell me about the quality of the school facilities, teachers turnover.  We are looking for a school that has a good reputation and look after our children not just steal from the parents as it says in the recent newspaper article.

Welcome to the world of private schools.  Like it or not, all of them are "for-profit" institutions unless it is stated otherwise explicitly.

I can't speak for the quality of BSB but as far as official stats go; there are only 3 or 4 schools that are marked as "outstanding" by the quality rating board which governs Bahrain education.  These are St. Chris, BSB and Riffa Views International.  My son has been going to RVIS since the last 4-5 years and we are very happy with the quality.
