I am planning to move from Mumbai to Mauritius as my office is opening new setup. I will be getting Salary of 225000 MUR. Can I survive with my family of 3 members or should I move without family.

Which part of Mauritius do most of the Indians stay. Do we get fully furnished flat on rent?

Priscilla

Hi vyasgautam,

I guess that a salary of 225 000 MUR will be more than sufficient for a family of 3 members, you can even be able to save money.
However, this will depend of your standard of living here like for example, if you like luxurious lifestyle or not, if you will be renting a car / house and the kind of products that you want to buy.

Note that you can easily get a fully furnished flat or house, please feel free to check the housing in Mauritius section of the website and this housing portal : https://www.lexpressproperty.com/en/ , you will find some offers.
There are also some real estate professionals registered in the business directory, please feel free to check it as well. Here is the direct link : https://www.expat.com/en/business/afric … al-estate/

To know more about the general cost of living, i invite you to check the thread that i previously launched here : Cost of living 2019 in Mauritius.
Note that you can also have a look at the following thread launched by someone from India : https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=793571

Finally, as expatriation is a very important decision, i would also recommend you to go through all the articles in the Mauritius guide, it can really help you.

If you have other questions, please feel free to ask so that we can guide you in the most efficient way.
