Visa advise?

Lisamarie1978

Hi
I am dating a Cuban living in Ibiza for nearly 1 year, I am just wondering what's the best way for him to enter Ireland, he has an NEI card in Spain as he has been living there 3 years, we want to try and start a life here in Ireland.
I know its going to be complicated but if he is granted a 3 month holiday visa, can you extend it? I was researching this and it states you can only extend it of the host is ill? Is this the case? Has anybody got any advise on him working here, maybe getting sponsored, could I apply for a working visa for him if I employ him.
Should he do a student visa?
So complicated EEEEeeeeKS?
Any advise would be great.
Thanks Guys
Marie

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Your Forum information tells me that you are also a Cuban, is that correct?

My advice at this stage is to read our "Ireland Guide" (top left-hand corner of this page, mouse over the Discover section and a drop-down menu appears).

Once you've read our guides and all of the links it gives you, if you have any further specific questions, please come back to us.

Hope this helps.
