Hi Gary,
Hope you have not missed me too much!!!
I'm absolutly knakered today. I went to that manager's meeting I was telling you about. My directors are happy with my performance, which keeps them off my back, thank God for that
Anyway I have slowed down quite a lot on my research for my business. I'm off tomorrow and I will look at which companies I can target as you advised me.
Speak to you very soon (or e-mail you very soon) to let you know about my progress. The only problem I can see with targeting companies is that my clients won't need my help to find them a job which is one of the main services I want to offer. What do you think?
Take care
Carole
Hey Carole,
I didn't have time to miss you I've been busy getting my hurricane preparations finished. Tropical Storm Chris was threatening to hit Puerto Rico (it didn't - it's north of Puerto Rico right now). Been filling extra water drums, getting my generator running, buying extra gas, batteries, canned food; cleaning the (open) basement of our house to get things that might blow away organized and inside.
Long lines at gas stations and at store checkouts..
Good to hear that the directors are happy with your performance!
I didn't realize that job finding was going to be your main activity. Somehow I thought that you were focussing on house/appartment finding and general help to get people settled in.
From a marketing point of view, companies are an easier target. If you want to reach potential expats, i think forums like this one are the place to announce your new venture.
Have fun on your day off!
Hiya again
What a scary thing it is to get ready for a potential hurricane. Thank God nothing happened but have you ever experienced a hurricane before.
Don't work your socks off too much. Look who is talking, I bet you can't help it!
You take real care of yourself,
Carole
hi everybody!Hi carol!Me and my boyfriend 're going to live in london for mid september.(maybe one year) I saw that you'd like to create a company for helping french.Well i need your help.We 've just leaved our job in Paris ,we woud like to perform our english, so we decided to go unexpectedly.(i hope you understand me in english). Now i think that we must to prepare our departure.I 'm a beautician and i 'd like to work in a SPA .Kit(my man) doesn't speak english as well i do, but he understand and he is motivated to learn and he doesn't scare to speak. Here in Paris he works in mobile phone sales.
Please Carole can you help us for finding a job and a flatshare.
Pourriez vous répondre a mes questions de marketing que j'ai posées dans le topic "Living in Europe" = Questions for french people who want to live and work in London" ca m'aiderait aussi
A+ tard
Carole

The worst I've experienced until now was tropical storm 'Jeanne' in 2004.
After Jeanne passed we were without water and electricity for almost three weeks. Not really funny
Still a lot of rain today. 'Chris' lost its strenght overnight and left all the rain and thunderstorms over PR. No high winds, just a lot of water - I can deal with that.
CaroleK wrote:finally I've managed to create my little flags !!!!
Youhou!!!
Hmm.. so I made this:
for nothing?
just copy the following code and paste it in your signature:
Code:
[img]http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m17/forCarole/carole.gif[/img]
No try to get it in your signature That way it will show under every post you make.
The answer to the next question is: Go to Profile in the menu and choose : personalaty
I know about the next question but I can't find a picture small enough to download
How do I get the flags in my signature so it shows automatically under every post I make
CaroleK wrote:I know about the next question but I can't find a picture small enough to download
Nope - that's the avatar you're talking about - the little picture under your name.
If you have a picture you would like there there, email it to me and I'll make it the right size for you.
You are too clever and too good for me Gary King (I fancied writing that)
I hope my signature will work automatically let's see
Carole
It's damn good Gary Ok I need to find a nice picture now!!!
My husband has put them all on CD so I can't download them. I'll send you one when I find a really nice one.
Thanks for your help
Carole
My pleasure
This is the kind of free help you (and anybody else) can get on one of my sites: Computer Newbies Help Forum.
By the way just so that Mateen & Kitsana don't feel left out I should let them know that I did answer on page 2 of this topic. Sorry guys I'm getting carried away with Gary who is kindly giving me an IT lesson

You know, one of the first things you should consider when you start your service, is a website. ( did I ever tell you I design, maintain and host websites for a living? )

We'd communicate by email. I have clients in the USA, in Holland, Germany and also in Puerto Rico.
95% of the communication I have with clients is by email, 5% by phone or personal contact.
If you're interested, we should take this to email I guess.
Oh by the way, my name on Newbies is Gerrit (which is my real name). Gary is what everbody outside of Holland calls me because nobody but Dutch have a clue how to pronounce 'Gerrit'..
Yes definitly and then you can tell me your fees and what you require from me
I'll email you later today. The email will come from gerritATsirius-prDOTcom so you know what to look for. Give me an hour or so - Ididn't have breakfast yet.
Tu as un mail?
