Have you tried a Puerto Cerrado? Casa Felix is very good at Chacarita. Casa Salt Shaker is more convenient and the food is great. However, Dan talks far too much, is overly opinionated and obnoxious. Otherwise, if you like seafood, try Oviedo. They like to bill the location as Recoleta, but it's really Palermo. The dishes are small when compared to other restaurants, but the food is superb and the service is over the top. It is not a new restaurant.

If your are coming to BA you can not miss the opportunity to have a day on the countryside. Buenos Aires surroundings are full of classics estancias where you can spend a day learning about the gauchos, eat delicious asados, horse riding and watch polo!
