Recent Employment Passes (EPs) - Pending

Hi!

I've been reading a lot of posts on this site about EPs/ pending times and I know it won't make the process go any faster or slower for me, but just wondering if anyone has applied in June/July and has received an approval already?

The company applied for me on the 2/07. I checked in a week and a half ago and they said the status is still pending. My details are as below. Is there any reason you can see that it'd be declined? Or is this just a waiting game

Salary - 6.3k SGD
Industry - Professional Services
Experience - 2.5 years

What do you mean by professional services? Looks like your experience to salary offered is above market standard, but with very limited information, can’t judge anything.

I have seen EPs are getting approved in 2 weeks time to 2 months, depends on criteria, market demand, employer’s justification to hire a foreigner etc. You can read there is a thread on approval processes and criteria to consider. Good luck

S$6.3K for 2.5 years is a bit high, and my guess (guess only) is it might look a bit suspicious. Maybe MOM is taking the time to investigate your case to ensure it is a valid application.
