Hi there, What's the cheapest places to live in Scotland? As in rental housing. Not on the streets

In general, if you avoid Glasgow and Edinburgh, then most other places are reasonably priced.

As a suggestion, try searching on the many online property websites which usually do rentals as well as sales. Just enter the different towns or cities to see what's available. These are a couple of them:

Incidentally, apart from Glasgow and Edinburgh, the other very expensive city is Aberdeen which became expensive due to the oil and gas industry.
