Question on 2nd spass application after being rejected

Kopipeng

Hi Beppi and Surya,

I would like to ask your suggestion regarding my spass application form.
So, my first spass application was rejected by MOM few weeks ago. Since then, i tried to contact my employer but they are totally silent. I am planning to call them this coming Tuesday to ask them what would be the next step after this.

Fortunately, right now i got another job offer from bigger MNC compared to my first employer. I believe right now i need to ensure that my first spass application is withdrawn by my first employer, right? Otherwise my next application would be failed as well, am I right?

Second thing, in my first spass application form i did not include any work experience (as I am fresh graduate from SIM).
But in fact, i was involved in some voluntary work which is relevant to the job that I am currently applying.

My questions are, can I consider my voluntary work as work experience and include it in my next spass application form with my second employer?
Since, i did not include it in my first spass application, would it be fine if I include the voluntary work experienxe in the next spass application?

Lastly, since im applying spass for the second time with different employer which is bigger in terms of company size compared to the first employer with higher salary being offered as well, would it increase the probability of my application being approved by MOM?

I am Indonesian Chinesse by the way.

Thank you

If the first application is rejected (and the employer did not appeal), there is no need to withdraw it any more - another employer can apply right away.
Declaring different work experience in two applications will sure raise MoM's eyebrows - so it should be done with a good explanation attached.
Whether this increases your chances remains to be seens.

So it is better not to include the voluntary work experience in the second application? Would reference letter from respective organization enough to justify the voluntary work experience? Bu if so how do I attach the reference letter? Since it is being submitted by my employer and not by me?

For the last sentence from your reply, are you referring to my chance to get approved with my new employer? Or by attaching the voluntary work may increase the chance to get approved?

Thanks Beppi

I did not say it’s better not to mention it, but if tou mention it you should guve a good explanantion why the previous application didn’t.
