Hi,

I am moving to Dublin by End of January 2020. My office will be in Dublin 4. I am moving with my family (My daughter who is 7 years old and my wife). I would like to know few of the details.
1- Area where I should stay for easy commute and good for family.
2- Schools which are good in those areas.
3- What will be the approximate house rent in those areas (I am looking for a 2 bed room apartment/ House).

Thanks,
Shubhranshu

Hello,

As it is recommended to any newcomer, READ the charter of the site.

You will find two tips:
- READ the guide of the country which you will find under the tab "to discover"
- READ old posts using the search function via the magnifying glass next to your avatar.

99% of newcomer questions have already been answered dozens of times.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

To add to Phipiemar's advice and to answer your specific questions:

Easy commute - no such thing in Dublin (unless you live in walking distance to your office).
Schools - subjective; you should be aware that the majority of the schools are Catholic.  That's not a bad thing (IMO) - these schools are pretty much all high performing, but if your own faith has issues, then you need to consider this.
Cost of living - check out the Numbeo website; link.  Dublin is very expensive and rental accommodation in short supply.

Hope this helps.
