Hello,

international driving License is called International Driving Permit can be applied through an association called ITCA international traffic control association

You can visit their website,

Hi Neeraya

IDP's can only be issued by the country that issued your license and only by organisations that have been authorised by the government of that country to do so. Usually these are national automobile clubs or organisations.

In India, I believe that the approved bodies are the regional Automobile Associations or your local RTO. If in doubt, contact any one of the AA or RTOs and they will point you in the right direction.

Be careful. There are a lot of scams. Advice to "visit a website" and print one yourself is to be avoided (unless of course your intention is to purchase a fake).

Good luck

Ross is correct. And I will echo to NOT google for international licenses because those are all fake and useless and can get you in trouble. Police are everywhere in KL especially now with covid. Dont get caught with a fake IDP.

I agree with the above two posters. I know that it can be difficult getting an IDP back in India, but the choice is to try or else take lessons and a driving test in Malaysia. Don't buy one over the internet which probably would not be recognized in Malaysia or anywhere else.
