1) Do not leave the country. Stay in the UAE and get from your PRO the visa amendment.
2) Avoid to go toi the Muhaisni centre. They are very strict.
3) Go to the Baraqa Hospital, Preventive Medicine department.
4) Go personally to the Immigraton and ask to speak with an executive.
You will have your NEW visa.
hi, ask if muhaisni is same with al satwa, is member of this forum who pass the medical test all in al baraha?
hello to all, maybe its better to share and compare the medical fitness centers where we are having the medical test, in what medical center most of the member of this forum give consideration to hepa condition and isuued "fit to work"? and compare their medical process in dealing with hepa( are they giving consideration, chance to explain our side or teach us what to do to pass the medicals) . It will also help us in a little way.
hi,in al baraha they are giving consideration for those hepa b carriers who are either renewing their visa or changing their visa without going out of the country. also, the people working there are compassionate and caring people. unlike the ones in al muhaisnah, wherein they would not even bother to tell you why you have to do a retest on you medical and they would only speak to your PRO and not with you. if your medical test will be done in muhaisnah, you will not be given the chance to ask for any consideration as they will electronically transfer your result to immigration immediately and it will be very difficult to delete the file. i hope this helps.

Hi, Annefrank, Henrydets and all !
Henrydets wrote about “ban 9” on page 14. First time I am reading about it on this forum! I have it too!
When I was deported in july 2009, I got in airport stamp in my passport (like sticker) with text on Arabian. There is field “ban”, and I have exactly “9” there. I spent too much time when I tried to educate this note. I had 2 versions: ban duration (in months) or number of ban type.
When I left Dubai I didn’t get finger print or eye scan in airport.
So, is here anybody who got ban sticker (not usual cancellation stamp) in passport in airport?
Maybe somebody knows about this “ban 9”? Is it life ban or no? How I can clarify it definitely?
(If yes, it is terrible thing, why I got so strict punishment!?)
I hope for answers, thanks.
Good luck to all !
Is there anyone here who knows anyone or himself re-entered dubai recently after deported of hp b with visit visa and how please share with us.
got residence visa stamped in my passport today. i was so happy that i wanted to cry.
i just recently found out that i am positive with hepatitis b after undergoing medical testing. i cancelled my husband visa to change it to employment visa without leaving dubai. i did the medical test in al satwa. after 2 days i got a call from DHA and advised me to report to muhaisnah medical fitness center. i ask them why, but they won't tell me. i went to muhaisnah and they just took another blood sample. i ask them what's wrong with my previous test, they just said they don't know as they are not the doctor. i was already crying so my husband who was with me that time asked the reception why i have to do retest on my blood. reception only said suspected hepatitis b. the next day, they electronically sent my medical results to immigration. i went to muhaisnah to pick up the result, but they would not give it to me. they demand to see the PRO and the PRO would tell me what to do next. i ask the doctor if there is any way i could make an appeal as i am changing visa within the country. he only told me to try with immigration. but he told me i can still enter dubai on visit visa. also, in my medical report there was no endorsement for lifetime ban, because i saw in some medical reports they mention "for blacklisting and not to enter UAE anymore".
i accepted my fate and ready to be sent home when i read in this forum that one person with hepatitis b was given consideration in al baraha as he was changing visa within the country. even if i had did my medical in al muhaisnah, i went to al baraha and told the receptionist about me being found positive of hepatitis b during my bloodtest in muhaisnah . he directed me to one person and upon seeing my passport with visa position amendment and confirming that i am changing my visa without going out of UAE, he referred me to another person who could help me delete my file in immigration. i was asked to do medical test in al baraha, as only after the result was given he would be able to help me. i was to submit copy of my passport with visa position amendment and copy of the visa along with the medical report. when i came back for my report, i was found medically fit. i do not know how that happened. i thought maybe they did not check me for Hepatitis b, only for HIV since there was a mistake in the form when they typed my occupation as housewife, not as sales representative.
i showed the fitness report to the person who would help me delete my file in the immigration. since i already got my fitness certificate, he instructed me to go to dubai immigration and look for his contact there and he would assist me. after 2 days, i got my visa stamped on my passport today.
sorry for the long post. i just wanted to share how i managed to get my visa stamp, so i could inspire other people with the same case. i know how difficult it is to be caught unaware of this disease and not knowing what to do next.
i am not posting any names of the persons who helped me, because i am not sure if helping me would get them into trouble. hope everyone will understand. just go to al baraha hospital and they will guide and help you. they are nice people there.
God Bless you and everyone on this forum.

wow congrats:)
i want to ask if it is possible for me holder of a visit visa can i change it to employment without exit to other country? and how can i change it within the uae? please tell me what to do.. Should i rely on to my PRO or not? Thank you
yes, you can change visit visa to employment visa without exiting UAE. your company has to pay more, but i am not exactly sure how much more (during my first employment visa in 2005, my company has to pay DHS 500 more so i could change my visit visa to employment visa inside UAE.)
but i am not sure if they would consider your case (hepatitis b carrier?) if you are from visit visa changing to employment visa without going out of the country. i think consideration only applies to those who has previous residence visa (husband visa & employment visa) and renewing, changing or transferring to another visa without leaving UAE.
but you can go and ask in al baraha hospital if you want. i heard from somebody who went there today, they were informed that the law will be changing within 1 month. let's keep our fingers crossed and keep on praying and supporting each other.
keep the faith!

Hi everybody,
Here you go guys, this is another piece of good news all praise to Allah.
This is a link to a news article in Emirates News Agency. It is in Arabic, but basically it states that (the Minister of Health and representatives from preventive medicine departments in MOH, Dubai Health Authority, and Abu Dhabi Health Authority have met on April 22nd and discussed the medical tests (for residence and employment visas) that have been in effect since year 2008. The meeting discussed the positive and negative effects of this system and how some clauses can be amended to avoid the shortcomings).
It does not mention HBV by name, but it mentions the tests applied in year 2008 which is mainly the HBV test.
Keep your hopes and keep praying.

perdanasiswa wrote:Hi Every body,
I strongly advise against writing to the ministry of health using the emails shared between members of this forum. It will only have an adverse result.
The rules about HBV testing were first announced in May 2008 and were supposed to be applied on a trial basis in some areas of UAE. In August 2008 it became mandatory requirement though out UAE for any New Visa regardless of nationality and profession.
Some of you managed to get residence visa between the period August 2008 to mid 2009, that was simply because the testing kits were not yet available in all testing clinics. Now it is conducted through out UAE.
There is a tendency in the ministry of health to change this rule. After all it was applied on a trial basis and now after two years of implementation, the ministry of health has gathered enough information to use as a basis to amend the rule.
The first hint about changing this rule came out on January 29th, 2010 in an article from Al-Bayan Arabic Newspaper (see link below). According to this article, changes are expected around end March/April time line. I'm very optimistic it will be amended by summer 2010.
Just be patient. Your situation cannot be worse than mine. I lived in UAE for 35 years, in 2008 my career took me overseas and now I cannot go back to UAE which is practically home. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

i thank all the people who shared their experiences before i did. they really inspired me and gave me an idea on how to go about my visa problem. posting my experience in return is just a way of paying it forward. i hope many of you guys, if not all, would succeed, too.

hi friends
i have a doubt.if the law changes will it do favour for people like me...i mean people like me who have been banned to enter uae for life long.i think this new law change will be applicable for people who will be applying for new residence or employment visa...anyway i am losing hope...i dont know whether the new law will fulfill my dream of living with my husband together in uae.please do pray for people like me also...
hi annefrank,
did your husband check in immigration if you have a lifetime ban? or maybe it's just a temporary ban, maybe just for 1 year? i think the only ones who are banned for life are those who are HIV positive, not hepatitis b positive? i also read somewhere in this forum that some of those who got deported due to hepatitis b was able to come back to uae on visit visa.
do not despair, my dear. let's pray for the best.

thanks for your reply.yaa my husband did check in the imigration and from there he came to know that i have been banned for life long and not its a temporary ban.i dont know why they put me under ban for life long.really very unfortunate to have life long ban.even my hus tried for a visit visa after my bann and they rejected bcoz of my life bann.
Hi, jill! I just read your message. Sorry but the law keeps changing.. Starting april 01, 2010, jafza requires all jafza visa holders to have their medical check-up at JAFZA Medical Center. Please take note that they will not accept medical report from any other clinic. I will try checking with them but I am not sure if they will entertain me since they informed us that the result will be sent through SMS only. I guess JAFZA medical center will send the result directly to JAFZA Admin. No need for the PRO to intervene.
jill13 wrote:cassey wrote:hi, betsy! as i mentioned on my previous post, if your visa is from jafza, you only have to choose between al satwa clinic or al mohaisna medical fitness center as per the memorandum issued by jafza but if you apply for vip, the medical examination should be done in al safa clinic.. this rule took effect last year. i am sure about this as i am acting as PRO of our company.
i am not aware of dubai medical test.. i can share only for jafza since i am jafza visa holder.
hello cassey you said that you are acting as PRO of ur company
maybe you can ask information to satwa hospital if they are testing hepa b for renewal or for new visa only?
Hello guys, any advice from you? I am very much interested in trying to get a job in school but this hepa b is the reason for not persuing it.I got a job where they only processed my labour card before without medical so i was thinking of maybe if i try in school i dont have to undergo medical in processing labour card since i am on Husband's visa. And so this time i got a call but i am wondering why instead of meeting the principal or Hr Dept. why they had asked me to meet the school nurse huh?! what do you think should i have to persue it? Being discriminate due to this is kinda loose of hope and self confidence.
The UAE Health Council held its meeting on Thursday 22nd April 2010 under the chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Hanif Hassan, UAE Minister of Health.
The Health Council also discussed the health system of the medical examination for expatriates in the UAE whether for residence or employment purposes which was prepared by a specialized committee as well as the technicalities pertaining to the cabinets decision No. (7) of 2008 regarding the systems positive and negative sides as well as the review of its provisions to avoid any negative effects.
No specific outcome yet. Hope for the best.
hello,
I read few page ahead posted by India (04/05/2010) on same hep B thread the following:
"Rules & Regulations
Any person with Visa category as a Dependant (Housewives, Fathers, Mothers, etc.)
Only HIV test is required for both New cases and Visa renewal."
Does my wife needs to pass the Hep B test. Is the above an old statement not valid anymore or is it perfectly valid ?
Here is our situation, my wife is a healthy but chronic carrier of Hep B, because of this I declined a contract in Doha 3 years ago, today I could come in Abu Dhabi.
So my wife who does not intent to work will have to take the hep B test (and if yes she will show positive) or only me will have to take that test (I should be negative).
If she cannot get residency can she come on tourist visa and every 2 months take a "half day visa run" trip to Oman or Doha, and if yes can she do this as long as she wants.
We are on the list of the 32 countries that can easely enter in the Emirats.
Tks for your feedback
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
You and your wife required all tests. I suggest you to arrange visit visa for her, till the change of rule. Hope this will clear your confusion.

Hello Expat786 and others,
Are you sure the rules are going to change soon or later for the Healthy Hep B carriers ?
Cheers

To all who was sent back home,
Did you all get a lifetime ban? Was it indicated in your immigration cancellation paper or passport?
TD99,
9 means Permanent Ban
Hello Friends,
Any of us go through medical test for immigration for Australia or Canada or any1 have info about medical checkup for immigrants to Canada or Australia, please let me know one of our friend upset to go through
Thanks
Canada Immigration will ask you to do your medicals. if your results come back showing HBV positive, then you will be asked to do further testing to assess your HBV case. This is just to make sure that you are a healthy carrier that will not require expensive treatment once in Canada. You will never be denied a visa into canada simply because you are HBV carrier.
If you want to apply for Canada or Australia, just go for it and have no worries.
