Hello Bobot!
What happened?I was hoping to hear an update from you but when I checked my mail there is no new post. I hope everything is ok. I just came from the holy mass and prayed for you.
God Bless and hope to hear from you soon!
hello all!
does anyone have an update on this matter. i have an friend who is hepatitis B passive carrier and he has to renew his visa. passive carrier is subject to deportation if working in construction industry?
Hi guys,
sorry for the late update, well what happened was, after the first medical exam i took the result and then i had to take another one. and on the last they gave me a piece of paper to be hand over to the PRO or to the person who has authority on the company, the sponsor in short.
we went there the person had a chat with the doctor and unfortunately it says based on the medical report i was not fit to work, and according to the human resource agency that is doing my visa, they had passed the report to the HR manager and its all up to them to decide if they will allow me to work or not, i had a chat with my boss and he said will do whatever he can and they will have the final decision tomorrow.
please do include me in your prayers hope that the company still decide to accept besides my condition.
but its all up to the creator, if its his will then let it be done if not i guess i just have to ready myself. they are now getting more strict with regards to this matter.
so friends please do pray for and for others as well... ill update you tommorow
thanks and God bless us all
Bobot
I really hope and pray that they will allow you to work.
I know it depends with the company and its nature of work.
I'll pray for you. Let us know tomorrow what will be their decision.
We're responsible individuals and they should give us a chance to have a normal life.
Hi Midge,
can you please tell me if your in Dubai or Abu Dhabi? just wanted to know which clinic did you go for medical test.
for the report, were down to the last option my boss had sent a mail to the agency to find out what is meant by not fit to work. its the last resort, he wants to know on what a person with hepa can do and cannot do in a workplace and how it can affect others, obvoiusly the SVP who is a local is the one who doesnt want me.
as per the PRO even if you have a HEPA B it all depends on the company, the company just need to send the official letter stating that they want the particular person then theimmigration can make an exemption.
this is our last option hope it goes along the will of the almighty.
thanks for all your prayers
Hello!I am from Dubai.
It is a medical fitness center in Al Muhaisnah (can't remember the exact name) in Al Quisais almost boundary of Sharjah. It can be reached thru emirates road.
There were no test result given to me. Someone or doctor from the medical center should explain it to you.
You can suggest that you can get test results from private hospitals showing that it is inactive and you will not be able to pass it to other people.
I really hope they will allow you to work.
hi guys-
I got so much information from this blog, thanks
Unfortunately, I got deported cause of Hepatitis B...just today.. so sad i know
I was renewing My visa after 3 years working since 2006,
they test me HbsAg ,and they called me re-test, I thought that they will do another test for liver funciton such as ALT,AST,HbEAg....
But they just doing HbsAG test one more time to make sure I'm positive...it doesnt matter HbeAG negative or not
because My job was connected to food handling.
The company said sorry that they could hire me and a lot more people back to 3 years, but since the gov changed the law, they can't do anything...so I couldn't renew my visa and I need to leave within 14days...And many left and many need to go back. But the stupid thing is they will only know when the visa renewing comes...
I think the categories that Midge mantioned they'r gonna do test only HbsAG, which means if u have, halas go home- doesn't matter healthy carrier or not
This is bit shoking, but I don't want to live here anymore-
if they've changed rule next month, I could've get my visa renewed and can work for 3 more years....so stupid
hi johny 1950,
if ur friend is working regarding food, health,teacher...so on
I would recommand him to don't renew and just resign...
There is no point to do it..
I had a little hope for the last minitue, since Im healthy carrier, But they deport me..
Now I'm worried about that I can't visit dubai never again..
But the company said they don't ban me.
Only I can't get a 3 year-residence visa, but I can come as a tourlist, transit...
But still, when I come I'll change my passport.
Just in case that they get new law to stop me to even enter for few days...
Hi Guys,
we have done medical for my wife and she got Hepatitis B positive.
we were scared and we gone to India to do the complete test(DNA,LFT,ultrasound,etc..). Doctor said nothing to worry. she is having DNA level less than 3.6 counts and HBeAg is negative.
She is house wife and she was here in Dubai from 2007. recently i changed my job and we applied for new visa. myself and my kid don't have Hepatitis and we already got vaccined.
Guys, please suggest can we approach anyone in medical department for getting cleared and stamp the visa
Hi vangates,
I was also worried about, I did all the test back home.
I spent a lot of money, It was useless..I even couldn't show anyone cause they don't care all this thing..unlikely other country.
For Hepatitis B, the way to be figured out either contageous or not is not regarding HBsAG.
They should check on HBeAg first and Liver funciton, most infortant DNA test.
But Dubai doesn't want to do all this expensive labatory tests.
That's why simply if u r a carrier, don't come-we don't want to test!
for your case if it is renewing, it is fine-for house wife,
But if you apply for new visa The answer will b no,sorry...
Seriously, They don't let anyone HbsAg Positive no matter what HBeAg is negative and liver funtion is ok.
So I think you should not change your job... then no problem
on renewal of ur wife's visa they will give another 3 years visa, with the test of HBeAG-negative
Hi Guys,
I am an IT professional and I got a job in Dubai as a Computer Engineer(Software). Will they not allow for an IT professionals also.
Please some one help me...
Thanks.
Hi Vangates,
U said u applied for visa for ur wife. wht happened? did they granted visa? as I'm same want to change visa......
Hi Midge and Everyone,
I am a Newbie to this forum and have lots of questions. I need your help in getting these questions answered especially from those living in DUBAI who had gone through the same situation or have friends who have the same problems. Thanks in advance for all your help, concern, and advice.
My question is: "Can a housewife with Hep B come and live with her husband in Dubai?"
I have notice that you had mentioned that somestimes it is a case by case scenerio; so let me tell you a little about my situation.
My husband and I are originally from Vietnam. We have been living here in Houston, Texas, USA for 19 years. Hence, my husband is an US citizen and I am a Permanent Resident currently in the process of applying for US citizenship. We have two boys who are born here and are 2 and 3 of age.
My husband is in the IT field and works for an oilfield service company. His company is drawing up a package for us to move to Dubai. They want him to be there by October. As for me, I do not plan to work in Dubai so there is no need for applying for anything accept the necessary papers to live there.
Concerning the Hep B. I was born with it. My mother passed it to me at birth. I am not sick from it. It is in a dormant stage. As for my husband and my two boys, they DO NOT have HBV and had already been immunized.
I did not know that certain country do not allow people with certain viruses in to work or live until I talked to my aunt who has a friend that use to work in Saudi. She told me to check this out and not waste any time. I guessed I have been spoiled for living in the US too long. I do not want to waste anyone's (the boss, the company, ect.) time espescially mine because of my two young boys. I need to know if I should register them for school here in the US. Besides, if my husband does not take this offer then he needs to look for another position here because his project is coming to an end. So, if anyone out there know anything concerning my case, please let me know. Greatly appreciate it!!!
Hi Vengates,
It seems like we sort of in the situation. The only difference is that you are in Dubai already and are renewing and we are still here in the US. Can you give me an update on your situation and what profession are you in? Thanks.
Salom Aleikum!
Glad to know this forum exists.
I am in same situation here as Bobot and this Sunday have to do the blood test again. I am in UAE for 9-years and I was shocked when they told me that I have to do the test again.
Anyway, I always think positive, If the company interested on me then there is a chance to stay in this country. If not, it is sad to know but hey, life is still continuing. I am sure this is not the end.
I hope that the people who makes such strict rules are fine and in a good health. God bless you all.
Allah karim.
Hi Hopefull,
thanks for your updates. Pls tell us about your profession and pls try to update us after your second test as same here.if the law is so strict then no need for change visa, simply will go back to our country as u said this not an end. thx dear....
Hi Dianafle!
Though you will not work in Dubai still you are required to have medical test before they give you residence visa.
To tell you honestly I am not sure if they will grant you visa or not.It is a risk to take. But I suggest, ask your husband to talk to the company's PRO or HR and inform them about your situation.

Hi Midge,
We will definitely have to do that as we do not want to bring 2 little boys half way around the world and come back. I just thought I could get some information early so I can be better prepare...Thank you.
Sorry as for me I am not 100% sure as well regarding the stand of government of Dubai regarding this health issue. Every now and then I check the internet. In case I find something I will post it here.

Hi,
I am an engineer and I have the same situation as Midge but in Abu Dhabi and waiting for the response from the committee where I have submitted my information abut old visa of Dubai from immigration department Abu Dhabi.
Any buddy face this problem in Abu Dhabi let me know.
Thanks
You have same case of Bobot. He is from Abu Dhabi as well and renewing his visa. I am not sure what happened to his case. From his last post it is up to the company if they will allow him to work or not. I hope Bobot will inform us and status of his visa. Do you have hepa since before?inactive?

Dear SIAS,
Dear your blood is already taken for test? i didn't say that after blood test you have submitted your previous visa details to them? what committee said that when they will reply? your case is very important because your profession is other than mentioned categories i.e. food related jobs, barbers etc.
Hi Hopefull,
Dear what happened to your second blood test? pls update us...Thx
Hi Thanks midge and Abee
I have some confusion about bobot, because bobot not clear that they ask for previous visa information he just told that they give a piece of paper which he given to his PRO I think they played game against him as he told the company boss do not want to keep him, this piece of paper in Arabic and details contain the documents they required for the visa as I submitted my old and New visa copy my PP copy and the detailed paper of immigration department what type of visa I hold since last three years. I think bobot did a big mistake he do not have to inform his company until he get the clear results.
Midge yes I am healthy carrier of Heb b since last 5 years
Hi SIAS,
Thanks a lot for your updates. Dear SIAS pls can you tell us when committee will give you their final response/decision. I think your case will clear all the confusion.
Hi again SIAS,
Dear you said that you have submitted detailed paper from immigration department. This paper is other than 'stamped visa'? and you got separetly from immigration dept.?
and again when committee will reply. Thanks .......
Hi,
I am a Software Engineer and I got job in Dubai, please some one let me know will they allow me.....
Thanks.
Hi Abee
Yes abee this paper called Tafaseel Al Aqama mean details of Visas and this is separate from the stamped visa and this document purely in Arabic the result from the committee expected in next week Tuesday
Where I submitted this document this guy was very helpful and told that there are 90 % chances.
But I Believe in God and agree on the God decision what it would be either in my favor or not because if they deport me then there will be some good for me in future thats my believe.
Hi SIAS,
Thanks dear for your information. I am sure result will come out in your favour and really it should be, because as per your profession and HBV status you are not dangerous for your colegues or around people, so then no question of deportation (if they will follow the merit, they will do that hopefully).
SIAS, as per my info they ve established only 2 centres in Abu Dhabi for testing? where is your blood tested if you like to tell b/c my case is 100% similar to you. Thanks dear
Abee this test was conducted in Abu Dhabi near Khalifa Hospital there is a sreening center near wahda mall
Hi everybody,
here is the update on my situation. after a month long battle finally God answered our prayer.
i just got the email form my agency, and as per her email, after the health committee screened and studied my case they finally gave the approval that i am fit to work.
yes my apology that the information i have given were partial, its true what sias said about the piece of paper, when we went there along with the PRO he was carrying some documents, i saw my passport copy, my visa, insurance card and other documents, after almost a month waiting, the committee decided that i can work even if i have the thing in me.
my field is in IT and working for a oil and gas firm, they are going to send the full medical report to our SVP which all he needs to prove that we can work.
in behalf of my family i would like to say thank you for all your prayers. indeed God answers prayers in his time.
i don't know if this is the same case for everybody but i would like to share this victory not only to mt self but to all who has hepa b, we are still human beings we can do do what normal people can.
the big impact is that my manager did not gave up on me and insisted that i must join the company. so to all remember your boss has the big impact to this situation if they really wanted you to join there are ways.
again thanks everybody for all your prayers God Bless us all
bobot
