Dear Perdanasiswa,
I gone through this process in 2009, i am HBV carrier since 2004, and i got the fit to work certificate from the health committee, so that is not true well thats why i told to Aya please check with the medical center this process is still valid even tough new regulation for testing is not implimented.
Regards
perdanasiswa wrote:SIAS wrote:Dear Aya1976/ Perdanasiswa,
if they found you healthy HBV carrier then they refer your case to the medical committee which decided to fit or not fit.
Regards
That is not true. There is no such medical committee. If it existed, none of us would face this situation. All the members of this forum are healthy carriers with inactive viral load. That is the only reason they are participating in this forum because they believe that they impose no risk to any one and they are desperate to have any one to hear them.
Based on the current rules, only HBS Ag tests are carried out. No other tests are used to determine the overall condition of the carrier. Deportation is merely based on HBS Ag being negative or positive.
Please post what you are sure of. Many people depend on the information shared on this forum and they build hopes on it. No need to give them false hope and torture them even more.
Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah
hi everyone i went thru page to pages of this forum, everytime i open a page i was very excited and tingling with anticipation with the coming good news. I am very happy with this news, i am dreaming of working abroad since i graduated from college but my illness as a hepatitis B carrier bound and
frustrate me on pursuing it. I'm now starting on looking for job in UAE,anyhow I'm a graduate of a non-medical course INSHAALLAH my dream could come true im UAE.
Thanks to all of you. And please continue on updating us
this is very helpful forum.
May ALLAH bless you all...
Subhanallah!!!!
Perdanasiswa & Sias,
If the new rule was implemented then I can say I have hope to pass my residency. but if they still implementing the old rule then I don't think I have the chance because I am applying for new residence visa. They are only giving a chance for those who are renewing for their visa only. Do they going to consider that I already stayed here with visit visa for two years way back Oct 2005-Oct 2007?
Those questions I need to be answer...
Thanks.
My visa will expire on July 2. I am running out of time. Is there anything I can do to extend my unstamp employemnt visa? Please help everybody...
Thanks...
hi Aya,
I think that they will not consider that you stayed here for two years without residence visa. It is probably better not to mention it since I don't know how legal it is in your case to live and work here on a visit visa for such a long time. It might be negative for you. You should try to ask the man at the al baraqa center to give you a certificate of fit to work instead of going to immigration and show the medical report yourself. If they still implement the old law, they will not consider your inactive status (from my own experience). If they have already implemented the new law then the man at al baraqa should know it. Maybe that is why he asked you to come back to him later.
He asked you if you were banned or not. If you are already banned then there is nothing he can do. If you are not (which I think is the case) then he can probably help. The best you can do is to follow up with him. Please update us how it is going for you. I wish you good luck! Hopefully you will give us the first good news of the law change.
hello evry body and salam
wait for the good news coz law will be implement after few days dont worry
i want to share my remedy with u which i have been search out from few days if u people are healthy carrior plz start black seed oil with honey 2 times a days morning when u wake up and nite when u go to sleep plz plz plz see t6he mircle by ur own self GOD will give u more help and plz give my message to any one u found in problem okk and also search by ur self on black seed oil and honey okk take care and hope full that new law will be implemented very soon
black seed oil 5 drops and honey one spoon of ric which we eat with okk 2 times daily for 4 months and then go for ur check up
Aya,
Please correct me if I am wrong. What I understood from your postings is the following:
1. You made your first test in Al Baraha hospital and found HBV positive.
2. They gave you a paper staped HBV Ag and took an other blood sample from you.
3. Later on, you went from your own (no body asked you to do) to the Iranian hospital for confirmation and found you are healthy carrier.
I see a missing link in your visa process chain. How? Normally, since you are found HBV positive, they should have asked for an other test. If the test is confirmed, they will give you "NOT FIT TO JOB" certificate and immediately deport you since you are applying for a new visa (not renewal). But nothing of this has happened. Was it written somewhere the word NOT FIT on the paper you got from Al Baraha hospital? Did you get the result of the second test in the same hospital?
Regarding the ban issue, whoever banned must be deported. Since it is not the case for you, it is unlikely that you are banned. It has no sense to ban somebody and allow him/her to stay in the country. So do not worry about this I beleive.
For your case, it is possible that your test results have not been forwarded to immigration department. Otherwise they must have informed the police to deport you. So going to immigration at this time with the medical test report given from Al Baraha hospital may complicate your conditions. Please do not go! Even if you are obliged to leave the country after visa expiry. I may get a ban which will difficult to cancel it. Be patient, the new law will be implemented soon.
Regarding the test report from Iranian hospital, no body will look into it in the government departments as all visa medical certifates MUST be given by government medical centers ONLY. just keep it for reference during next check up after 6 months.
Hope this helps.
THBT,
1,2,3 are correct. Those are the steps that I did.
As per my employer, it is written in the paper that it should be forwarded to the immigration for necessary action for my deportation but he wanted me to stay until my visa expire. In other words he did not give it to immigration. He even told me to look a way, if I can, or find a person who can help me on this.
I did not get the result of 2nd blood that they took from me. Hope this clarify all of your questions.
HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS:
This morning we spoke to the official and he said:
1. As of now, they are fixing the computer system.
2. this will be arrange in a week time (as per him, July 2 date of my visa will expire is long enough time for waiting).
3. He ask my employer to follow-up on Monday.
Before I leave the official's office, he get the original copy of the report (the one given to my employer) and my proof of being healthy carrier. He show BUNDLE of PAPERS of same cases on his desk and put my papers on top of it.
Please pray for me and for everybody...
hi all,
sorry it took me a while. My husband passed the medical test in al baraha.. they gave him third exam. they saw the 'good' virus, the one that appears if you have vaccination. we went to albaraha together and explained what happened and they said just pay for medical test and get the test. his visa application is new visa. he went out of the country and apply. there are cases where they will see and understand that it is not the 'bad' hepab virus. i was crying that time so i didnt really understand everything.. hehehe... now we are still praying for his visa stamp, his employer is taking time. please continue to pray for us.
also, in dubai municipality, they give chance if you cancel residence visa and apply for new one without going out of the country. we got this info by asking an officer iin the dubai municipality. so this one is true and you do not have to worry is this is your case. just show your visa position amendment stamp and proof that you didn't go out of the country.
also, our pro read to me (in english because the news is arabic)an article in www.albayan.ae few weeks ago that the hepab testing is now only for those who work in food industry, nanny and similar jobs. please check it.
God bless us all...

Ok, I have gone through the forum starting from page one trying to confirm the existence of this so called "Medical Committee". The only people mentioned it were SAIS and Boboot and these are cases from year 2009. Nothing is mentioned with more recent date.
Also, it looks like this is only in Abu Dhabi.
Has any one recently gone through the process and had to deal with the "Medical Committee" in Abu Dhabi?

Let us take advantage of Journalism:
It is a little disappointing that no official confirmation has come out so far. Especially that there is cabinet of ministers decision in this regard (June 6th) and news article in Albayan news paper (June 13th).
Trying to investigate the issue, I have taken the initiative of contacting Journalists in different newspapers in UAE trying to intrigue them into looking into this story and follow up with the ministry of health. I believe journalists would be the best to get us the insider information from the ministry of health.
So, I have contacted
1- Mitya Underwood (munderwood@thenational.ae) who said that she is currently preparing a story about how the HBV rules are applied differently from emirate to emirate and from doctor to doctor. She is senior health correspondent at "the national" and she is unaware of any law changes.
2- Asma Ali Zain (asmaalizain@khaleejtimes.com) who is a health correspondent at "Khaleej Times"
In my opinion, it would be worth it that the members of this forum write to these journalists and urge them to investigate the issue of new rules with the ministry of health. They have their connections and they can get us the true story. I think by writing to them they would feel how important this issue is to large spectrum of UAE expats and should take action to follow up on the story.
That's a brilliant idea! Let's all write to these journalists so that they will get the urge to move this issue forward and probe on the recent updates... Hoping for everyone's cooperation
It is a real good idea, we must appreciate Perdanasiswa as he always gives us helpful ideas and takes possitive action for us,in the world I believe people are kind and helpful from Perdanasiswa.

this is really dissappointing.perdanisiswa will the journalist help us on this issue,or is there anything which convinced the moh people related to this issue.why they have published in albayan ifit is an inside information they should have not published it to raise our hopes if the final decision has not been taken on this matter.jouranalist will only tell theupdates they wont b able to convince them to to change the law that s why im worried

Hi everyone no one read this post from Bedazzled and why hpb not mentioned?
Policy changes in handling TB and HIV cases soon Asma Ali Zain
16 June 2010 DUBAI Changes in policies regarding treatment and handling of TB cases are expected to be approved by health authorities soon.
Among a number of policy changes that can be expected includes a tuberculosis (TB) free status certificate issued by the home countries of expatriates seeking residency in the UAE.
Officials have also been pushing for changes in the deportation laws regarding infectious diseases such as HIV and TB. According to senior health official from the Dubai Health Authority, four new policies related to dealing with pulmonary TB have been prepared and presented the authoritys strategy council for action.http://www.khaleejtimes.com/displayarticle.
The policies have been approved by the council and will be announced in due time, said Dr Ali Marzooqi, Director of Public Health and Safety Department without elaborating on what the policies were. As per the current federal law, expatriates who test positive for HIV and TB during the medical fitness process before obtaining a work permit/residency are repatriated.
But unlike HIV cases that are sent back immediately, people with TB are quarantined, treated and then deported. According to Dr Kulthoom Hassan, Director of the National TB Programme at the UAE health ministry many GCC states are already following this policy.
Expatriates who travel from endemic countries to some Gulf countries for employment need to get a clearance from a pre-approved medical fitness centre stating that they are free of any communicable diseases such as TB and HIV, she said.
Authorities including the DHA, MoH and Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, however, have approved of and are in the process of developing standardised TB management guidelines which require all healthcare providers across the country to follow the same treatment methods. A recent study done by DHA found that 576 people seeking residency in Dubai were infected, and most cases were imported from endemic countries including India, Bangladesh and the Philippines.
The study also showed that 60 per cent of patients did not show up for follow-up treatment for several reasons, including fear of deportation.
