dear jairica,
thanks for sharing your experience... i was so scared to undergo on a medical test when i get there in dubai. where did you get your residence visa and what hospital? i'm a healthy carrier and no signs and symptoms of having hbv.
rds location is abu dhabi, all hbv positive there were deported. how about in dubai?
pls leave me a message. thank u and god bless.
dear stiff,
from what hospital is your 1st test?
you said that you are overstaying? what is your plan?
what is your location? dubai?
Dear Stresslady,
I think that they are not that strict already about the deportation of those who are HBV carrier. I can speak of myself and also about the wife of my husband's co-worker.
I am still here in Dubai, overstaying though. My husband's co-worker's wife come and go in Dubai. She visits her husband every 2 months, she was not banned or deported.
Stiff
Stresslady,
Yes, I am here in Dubai.
I had my first med test at Satwa Clinic and was told to go to Muhaisna for the second test.
We're planning to go home this August. Need to pay the fine. If God willing, the new rule might be implemented this month then we plan to get a very good PRO who can help us settle the matter and hopefully before we leave Dubai on August, my passport will be stamp with residence visa. My husband and I are praying that this new law will be implemented soon.
Stiff
dear stiff,
we cannnot afford to have a fine when i overstayed in dubai or visit my husband every 2 months. that's why we are trying to secure a residence visa.
i'm worried...
we have the same case..stiff. i'm hoping that the law will be implemented asap.
dear stiff,
where will you get you pro?
i'm just a housewife, no employer..
Stresslady,
I am also just a housewife, I don't work. My husband wants me stay with him that's why he did not send me home after I failed the test.
I've contacted someone and we will meet him next week. I will let you know the result of our meeting.
Stiff
dear stiff,
thank you so much. hoping for the best for all of us. god bless.

Agree!
There is no other way but to wait for the law to be fully implemented.
To Stresslady, you can buy time for now. if you come here on sept on residence visa, you still have up to 2 months from entry (november) till you will be required to have a medical.
my family is coming here every year on 3 months visit visa.
this august they will come here on residence visa, and i'll keep on hoping that before 2 months is finished, the law will be implemented. If not, I will cancel the visa and send them home again.
Finder my visa is for 3years. I've been under my husband sponsor for almost a year.
finder wrote:yes jairica, same rule everywhere.... but y visa for 1 year?????????? should b 3 years....
rds wrote:JaiRica wrote:stresslady wrote:pls give me some advice.. i will be going to dubai this coming september under husband sponsorship.. what do you think people.. do i have to secure a residence visa right away or get a visit visa only, and wait for the implementation of the rule?
Hello Stresslady! No worries if you are going here under Husband Visa even you are infected with HBV. I myself also infected with HBV but they give me the residence visa. you will undergo medical tests even you will be positive they will grant you the residence visa.
Dear JaiRica,
When did you got your residence visa? When did you have your medical exam?
All hepB positive HOUSEWIFE on this forum who applied residence visa (husband visa) from July 2008 to date were denied and deported (except for renewal only).
Kindly verify your statement!
I got my Visa last March 2009.
stiff wrote:Dear Jairica,
Your case is very interesting and your so lucky. I am also under the sponsorship of my husband but I failed the med test because I also have Hepa B. When I had my second med test at Muhaisna, my husband got the result and it was written their medically unfit. But I was not deported until now. Actually, I am already overstaying for a couple of months.
When did you have your test?
Hi stiff! I'm very much thankul for GOD. Al satwa hospital called me and they advise to go to muhaisna but i did not had my 2nd med test but I went to the person incharge of my medical result. He just asked me which sponsor I will be and said to my husband and he stamped my it medically fit. Then I went to immigration process my residence visa. I've done my medical test last feb. 2009.

Finder...i'm just sharing my experience. FYI my visa was not transfered to my husband. my residence visa was cancelled by my employer and after that my husband applied for a new visa under his sponsorship. I went for the same procedure for the medical test.
Let us all pray. GOD is Good all the time and He will make a way for us.
yes jai, its a naqalle qaffala..... they put tajjdeed on d visa and m sure u wre in d country... u dint exit....then its a tajdeed.... i have no probs whatsoever...jus dont want ppl to think they have a similar situation and get upset later.... i m sooooooo happy for you.....
Dear Stiff,
My situation is similar with you, i'm under visit visa and already return to Dubai twice this year. I would prefer to secure residence visa under my husband sponsorship and i'm only a housewife. So if there's any good thing that your PRO can help, please share with us.
Thank you so much.
Cheers.
Dear Jairica,
What finder mentioned is correct for your situation is totally different. U just cancel your previous visa from your old company into husband visa without exit the country because you put amendment on your old visa that's why they still considered your visa similar process like renewal.
If you checked in this forum from the beginning most of the housewife who's applying for residence visa which is totally come to Dubai under visit visa still got unfit n deported because of Hepa B +
So in some part your luck is in your side but if any other people who wants to apply for new residence visa it will take high risk for them, not because of the Hepa itself but they have to take the risk by being deported n banned and they have to separete from their loved ones.
Basically if UAE gov makes the rules than you have to stick to the rules it doesn't matter you just healthy carrier or not, if until the new rules still not implemented, you got Hepa B + than you will have to leave the country, it's as simple as that.
So hopefully something good comes up shortly.
hi guys just a ray of hope, today i went for my visa renewal in central hospital abu dhabi. i dont hav ny problem but i got a chance to speak to the doctor bout my wife's situation that she is hep b carrier but dna pcr is negative, the doctor told me that plz wait for 1 - 2 months the moh are revising the rules and hopefully they will remove hep from screening tests just like other countries. china removed hep from the screening test as singapore. lets cross our fingers and hope for the best.
Iwent to dubai on a company visa as a manager for warehouse in books field after one month on my medical check up they found that i was affected with hep-b virus, i am returned and now i am in home land, by enquiring with the imigration one of my friend told that i have 9 yrs ban,if the new law become implemented is there any chance for lifting the ban,in my passport they didn' put anything abt ban or exiting me only cancellation seasl has been stamped can somebody tell me how the procces of ban vary on hep-b affected people
They will give you medical certificate even if you have hepatitis B if upon cancelation you will not stay outside the UAE for more than 3 days.
luisa,
Can I ask if this applicable to new visa application? i'm still here in dubai.
luisa.punzalan@yahoo.com wrote:They will give you medical certificate even if you have hepatitis B if upon cancelation you will not stay outside the UAE for more than 3 days.
Dear luisa
Thax for your information n i will like to ask is it about the change we are waiting for?
no this is not the change. this is the consideration which is al baraha (dont know if other hospital is doing this) is doing for all those who have hep b case eversince, God bless them because they are helping a lot of people with the cases like this.
but if they will completely abolish the hep b case, we can stay or leave and go back to UAE whenever we want too even if you have case like this, after all Hep b has a vaccine, i dont see any reason why they cannot abolish the old rule.
This rule is applilcable for all the people whos been here before and just wish to change their visa, but for those new comer, you have to be free from hep. b to get employment or residence visa.
But if the new rule will come and abolish the old rule, even the new comer can get visa even they have hep.B
Dear Luisa,
I'm here in Dubai and already overstaying.I am under my husband's sponsorship. My passport was not stamped bcoz I did not pass the med test. If ever I will go to al baraha, will they give me med.cert?
thank you
Stiff

hi guys,
sorry for the late response I just have limited access to the net.
I do'nt know if I have the cancellationof visa in my case (I am not sure) all I know is that my PRO did not get any paper aside from the my form on the second test...
He just writen I think 8 numbers/letters at the back of the paper (which look like a code). I am so embarass to ask our PRO for more details coz he told me to wait until a month a half. He said stay positive and do'nt worry.
I have no choice but to wait... I am worried but positive that whatever happen. Its for the best.

Al «statement» The Ministry of Health is considering the possibility of cancellation of examination of hepatitis (B) of the medical examinations that are imposed on the arrivals for the granting or renewal of residence and will make the decision of the Council of Ministers on this matter for adoption within the system of medical examination of the newcomers.
So as to limit such testing only on groups that deal directly with the public such as workers in restaurants and cafes, food, nannies and maids as it was in effect before July 2008. An article in Khaleej Arabic Newspaper:
http://www.alkhaleej.ae/portal/f58b7304 … 01542.aspx
Basically it states that a new law is expected for more than a month now. It is more or less the same information given in Asma Ali article in Khaleej Times a couple of weeks ago.
You can use google translate to translate this article.
the articles which was displayed by muneeranjum was an old article, i think it came in january when ministry was considering to amend the hep b rule. and its mine opinion that aftre the month of ramzan may b they will implement beacuase any how they have to take three months, like they took for implementing the current rule in 2008. it was also mentioned by khaleej t to wait for couple of mnths, means1 mnth already passed still 2 mnths r left to wait what do u people think?
But from asma article in khaleej time the official said that the law.is to be implemented next month that is july as per the article below, plz this is same article from asma for review only
30 June 2010
DUBAI Changes in medical fitness testing rules for residency and work permits are expected to be implmeented by next month, according to health officials.
The new rules will be applicable at the federal level and are expected to be in place within days. A health ministry official said the changes had been approved but declined to give details.
The changes have been approved but I cannot say what exactly unless we receive the approved copy of the law, said Dr Mahmoud Fikri, CEO of Health Policies at the Ministry of Health.
We will issue the details soon, Dr Fikri added.
henry, mayb it can b implemented in july still more than a half mnth is left so u dont worry it will b done soon inshallah just pray to god as alll of us are doing, it is just an anticipation as i know that these people are very slow and lazy so may b they implement in september or may b they can do it in july also its upto them but for any decisoin they moh take lots of time its my feeling only.lets hope for the good news to come soon inshallah
