Hepatitis B infection

Hello everyone!
Hope you're all doing well.
I have been following you guys since last july, that is when I was diagnosed hep b carrier and deported from the UAE.
This is great news that the law had been changed and that the ammendment is yet to be implemented.

My question would be, for those who have already been banned will they be able to re-inter the UAE as it was a permanent ban stamp? (Given that they work in offices)

Also, there are some good chances that I will clear the virus, considering it was a permanent ban will they be able to lift it?

I tried calling the immigration and the ministry of health but for some reasons I ca not get through fron outside.

Would someone or anyone please help me clarify this information if they have any knowledge about it?

Thank you very much in advance and please people, never lose hope!

There may be a way for all of us to become "normal" again!

Stay Blessed You All.

Thax alot for your efforts what i can advice is that wait after EID and you will get your answer here in this forum keep on reading and giving hope to others as we are all having same problem.dont forget to say a prayer to all of us.

Dear All,its me omar.

As i arrived day before yesterday in ABDhabi.I have been reading this forum since March. Here i would like to mention that i'm HCv antibody positive but PCR negative.Yesterday i visited Preventive disease center Abu Dhabi and gave my blood and chest Xray.I also visited the Head of Doctor and discussed the new rule.He told me that new rule is implemented and they are checking HBV but not considering. This is sure and checked by my self because to or thre more doctors were sitting in that room and  i also discussed the TB and HCv with them..
One good news is also that today i have got the fitness certificate.
Thanks you all and God Bless you.Now HBV patient and also HCV patients are safe if they don't belong to six categories.

Hi Omar!

I suggest you to start a new topic on the United Arab Emirates forum or you can view our United Arab Emirates classifieds (accommodation section) and post an ad there as well.

Thank you.

Dear Omar,

Congratulations on your fitness certificate for HCV, I have no knowledge of exactly what the rules are for HCV. However I was at the Health Authority yesterday afternoon in regard to the new law for HBV+, they told me the new law STILL not impletmented. So I urge you to be 100% sure what you are saying. There are alot of people on this forum depending on new law, me included. As you say they are still doing the test for HBV+ but not considering for deportation, this is a bit confusing. I dont want anybody to end up thinking they are safe and maybe they are not quite safe just yet.
I had a good chat with my contact from the Health Authority yesterday and they say the news will be in all the newspapers  my contact said it will also be posted on the Ministry of Health website(the same as when the health minister announced the changes 2 weeks ago, but this time giving implementation date).

Until this time I would say to all that are depending on this site, please be a little cautious and check yourself as I am doing. We are all desperate for this law to be implemented. And it is days away from conclusion.

Omar, did they test you for hepatitis c or not? pls reply

All, I don't think its anybody's fault for 'lack of checking' with certain authorities. I believe we can all agree that this country lacks in a systematic approach to any law change. Its very difficult to get a straight answer for anything, especially when it comes to government related issues/health etc.
I have been following this forum since the early days and have made conclusions that the practice in the hospitals is dependent on who is managing the information provided (ie, newspaper articles or other authorative information). It seems that cases are individually based. this is slightly frustrating, but we all need to be patient a little longer.

good luck to all of us.

Dear Arabiantiger,

Appologies to you in advance as I dont agree with your conclusion about the government. The government here is like any other, they are doing their best to be fair as well as protect their country. However they are moving in the right direction and will ultimatly make everyone on this forum unbelievably happy (me included).
You are correct in saying that all cases are individually based. However currently the cases are judged by the old rules. And up until today the old law exludes my wife from returning to the UAE.
Frustrating as it may be, a few more days will surely give us all a lifetime of happiness. And I am told the "great news day" that is coming will be announced by all newspapers, websites etc.

Dear Omar can you please tell the name and room number of the doctor(Head of preventive diseases center) who gave you the information about Hepa B and told you they are providing clearance certificate to the people with Hepa b +ve

Hi. I started reading this forum since 17th of August when I got a second blood test in SEHA because I'm Hepatitis B positive. That time, I was so down and crying. T'was my second day of work as a secretary after I got my employment visa validated from the "re-entry" process(I first entered UAE through tourist visa). When I had my second test, I got so depressed when the Filipina nurse told me that cases of hepatitis B were deportable.
I told my boss about it and he himself seemed to be so helpless and he was also afraid to tell our PRO during that time.
Can you imagine how worried I was to be deported? Every day as I went to work, I had this fear that someone from the immigration will escort me out of the building!
Despite the fear, I kept holding on for the implementation of the new law about hep. b. I also told my boss about it and he said that I should not worry anymore.
When the legal department of our company demanded for my medical report for the processing of my residence visa and labor card, my boss had nothing left to do but to tell them the truth - 2 weeks after my second test. Then our PRO talked to me and he mentioned about the law and promised to do whatever he can to help me.
Actually, since day 1 when I discovered my condition, my boyfriend has been helping me - everything just to make me stay here. He even went to Ministry of Health and HAAD just to get some valuable information about the law and its implementation. Luckily, he contacted this one person from HAAD who said that the law was really coming and I will be safe.
31st August, thinking that the law has been implemented, my boss went to SEHA and tried to collect my certificate. But the doctor said that he will not give me the certificate because I'm HB+. My boss was so sad when he informed me about it and he told me that the company can cancel my visa within 10 days and I can go home gracefully or else, the immigration will track me and deport me.
When I told my boyfriend about it, we went directly to HAAD to meet the person he has been in contact with for the past weeks. When we met the person from HAAD and told him my case, he immediately called SEHA about my case. Luckily, he had spoken to the doctor that earlier told my boss that I should be sent home.
The person from HAAD told the doctor that the law will be implemented in a week or two so I can be given consideration. And after that, my boyfriend and I went to SEHA to meet the doctor and the doctor said that he's not sending any report to the immigration and he'll give me the certificate after a week (Sept. 7) since the law was expected to be implemented on that date.
Sept. 7, my boss and I went to SEHA once again to collect the report but the doctor that promised me the certificate was on leave. We've spoken to the lady who was sitting on his desk about it and she said that the certificate will be given after Eid and I'll be safe... Inshallah.
We went to the next room for the verification and he said the same thing - I'll have my certificate after Eid!  I'm praying for that. I know God is so good and He'll give me the desires of my heart. I'm just here to help my family. Please pray for me so that my certificate will be released soon.
Let's keep praying. Don't lose hope!

M_Pecks:
They don't check antibody HCV as it has already been removed from deportation list since last November. You cal also check it from HAAD website (Rule & regulations for visa screening).
I discussed the new rule in the preventive center at first floor, i believe i went to room number 32 that was admin room and than two rooms after that room.
regards
Omar

I have the same situation like you guys. I am a nurse and I am considering working there coz my sister is there in UAE a nurse also. She talked yesterday with her friend who works in HAAD and he told her that I have to check my viral load first, then she will forward the result to her friend to find out if I can work in an Insurance agency there (office work i guess). So here I am, tomorrow is Holiday here in the Philippines so I will go to National kidney and Transplant Institute to check my viral load. Last time I checked I have a very low viral load i think the cut off is 6 copies per ml and I only have 9copies per ml. I will recheck again tomorrow I am hoping to sero convert. But if not life will go on.

Just a question.. What are the specific test that I should do... And if the new law will be implemented, and still I am positive, but a healthy carrier, do I stand a chance of getting and working there?? I will update you on my process and if God willing, I will continue updating you guys if Ill make it to UAE.

Hello

If any one have implimentation date of New medical Test Law please share on this forum. Every one eagarly waiting for this law.

@ Dubai:

Hello. The doctor particularly mentioned to me... "2 days after Eid, get your certificate from me." Eid falls on Friday, therefore, the law will be implemented by Sunday. Or to be safe, Monday. :) I'm waiting for my certificate to be released. :(

WISHES TO ALL FRIENDS IN THIS FORUM ON
       THIS AUSPICIOUS DAY
           HAPPY EID

eid mubarak to all the members of the forum

EID MUBARAK TO ONE AND ALL.

Hi Omar,

Congrats for your certificate...and your case is different with Hepa B...yes HCV is been decline from medical for visa residence and until now i still don't understand why government treat differently between Hepa C n Hepa B...yes you already check with doctors there and thank you for information but there still nobody from HEPA B victim do the check up for new residency visa and got fit certificate...so we don't want to take the risk by do the check up and after that will be deported...Doctors may said what they want but they can deny the rules as easy as flick their fingers if the rules still not publish officially...so please don't confuse us with the info about HCV n HBV...anyway Congrats once again.

Cheers,

Now Im sure the implementation date is few days away from all on us as we have been waiting for it may be from monday we will get some confirmation INSHALLAH.

  Regards
   Sagar

Dear All,

I have been to Health Authority today and the law has still not been implemented. My contact says it could be as soon as tomorrow now (but still no exact date).
I also contacted a reporter from the "National" newspaper with reference to finding out when the Official UAE gazette is published. However they could not give me a date either. They have one of their journalists watching for the release of the gazette as they are aware it will include this huge news of the law implementation. So its good to know the newspapers are monitoring the situation too.
