Today I do not know what will happen to my report. One driver will go to Musaffah SEHA to collect it.
Hi Friends,
I would like to know if anyone already received the letter from the clinic where they got unfit and forward it to DNRD and got a good news that the DNRD has clear the ban because this will get a great impact to all following this blog.
hi there...im new here!!
i just wanted to share my experience regarding hepa B. its nice to know that im not alone having this problem. I am HBV+ inactive before i came here(dubai). i was here since 2006 and i have my first medical last feb 2007. i was then working in a hotel as archives clerk (as per contract) to immediately processd the visa but im working as cost controller. I though it would be the end of the world for. I was so hesitant to go for medical that time thinking i might be deproted. But prayers can move mountains. I was able to passd the test and got my residence visa. Year 2009 i resigned from my work and went to my country after a year and have my blood checkd and still im HBV+ inactive. Now im back here in dubai. Im working as Accountant but by on my visa they put HR clerk to fast-processd the visa. I have my medical yesterday. Im just keeping my faith alive and still believe in God. Prayers do move mountains guys. I stay positive that everything will be okay with me. Though i was thrilled and afraid that il be deported but im ready for anything that might happen. I just hope Gods will may favors what my heart truly desires. I want to stay here for better career opportunity. Il let you guys know the result but for now pls include me in your prayers. Im still waiting for the result.
MAy God bless us all. God knows whats in our heart. Just keep the faith alive.

Hi all, I am not sure if my case can help...I am a first time applicant for visa in UAE. I am a Hep B carrier and now in AD due to my hubby working in AD.
I have done medical check at SEHA(Al Wahda mall) on this Tuesday and collected on Thursday Morning. Again my case is for VISA FOR HOUSEWIFE. They are still checking HBV for EVERYBODY!! but for housewife and other than 6 catagories they should give certificate as 'FIT'...HOWEVER they themselves are still confused for the system in their pc. When I went to collect my Certificate a lady told me to go to Rm 29, I went there, then told me to do a second blood test. I asked for if it is necessary to do so even for housewife visa and she said yes!(which was a wrong answer!). I didn't do the test, instead i went to talk to the doctor(Rm 1). Asked If applying for a housewife visa require to do second test for HBV, Luckily the Doctor was not so busy and so kind enough to go to rm 29 with me to clarify. Doctor spoke with 3 others in Arabic and told me I will be able to get my certificate now. And I did at the collection counter written 'fit' on it. Ok, Long story short...THEY ARE STILL CHECKING HBV( I saw it is in the computer system next to my picture it is written in red - this worries me for the future incase i find a job or something...)BUT for HOUSEWIFE, NOT 6 CATAGORIES WORKERS SHOULD GET YOUR FIT CERTIFICATE!!! so don't give up! Good Luck to all of you!

Yes, they are still checking HBV against everybody. They are not following the new law. That is why I'm worried. Anyway, the door is not closed to us. Don't quit.
My medical report will be collected tomorrow, it will be clarified that if I am fit then. I'm appling for visa renewal.
hi there..
my medical reports will be collected also tomorrow. ive been so stressed out and worried. i am working as accountant but on my visa and medical form they put HR clerk as occupation. do you think il be deported?...this idea of being rejected and denied is suffocating and slowly killing me. im so afraid right now.
im keeping my faith alive. i know God knows what my heart desires. To Him be the glory.
We have to pray, and expect all the doctors to respect the law and human rights.
dear Seven83: good luck! pls update us your certificate.

Hi guys / GIRLS
WHETHER ANYONE CLEAR THEIR BAN , DOES IMMIGRATION DEPT CLEARING THE BAN IF WE GIVE LETTER FROM MEDICAL CENTRE . DOES ANYBODY KNOWS REPLY IMMEDIATELY , IT WILL BE USEFUL FOR MANY
I lived in Dubai for over 7 years. Around January 2010, my wife & I both lost our jobs co-incidentally, on account of our companies downsizing due to recession. I had to travel in & out of Dubai on visit for a few months, until July 2010 which is when I found a new job that would help us get back on track. My wife unfortunately could not find a decent one for herself, and she came to the point of almost giving up on even looking for one; so depressing our circumstances had become. We had to 'buy out' her residence visa from a friend so she could stay back and take care of our pet dog. But the worst was yet to follow.
When I applied for my residence visa on the new job. I was found to be infected with Hepatitis B and declared medically unfit. Before I could have a chance to even understand what the disease was all about, I was asked to pack my bags and leave the country within 7 days, since I was now 'banned' to live & work in the country; I later learned that one cannot even visit the country once banned. I begged & pleaded the authorities to hear out my story; that I had lived & worked in Dubai for over 7 years, owned property in Dubai, had bank accounts, a house rented for a further 8 months, a loan-free car, miscellaneous possessions, family, friends, my entire life was in Dubai - HOW ARE THEY EXPECTING ME TO JUST PACK & LEAVE?? But all to deaf ears.
Within 7 days I had to sell off my car, furniture, etc, clear out credit card debts & my personal funds, lose my pre-paid rent amount, and report to Al Aweer police station for my 'clearance'. I was escorted to the airport in a police car until I cleared passport control, and I flew back to India. My wife could not stay in Dubai by herself for obvious reasons, plus we knew that she was the only one to take care of me in my ill condition; so she accompanied me on the same flight and we had to leave our pet in the care of a dear friend.
In my heart, I have developed this feeling of despise for the UAE government & system that does not care for anyone or anything, and makes up laws overnight that can alter peoples lives very adversely, for absolutely no fault of their own. Most importantly, this has now become a question of loss of confidence with the UAE; as I got to know only recently that prior to mid 2008 they didn't have the ban, then starting Aug 2008 they carried it for 2 years and after I got deported, they have lifted it back. Some well wishers suggest that I should try and go back to Dubai now that the ban is lifted. My question is - what if I come back now as a carrier of HepB, start paying rent, take up a job, buy a car, etc., etc., and they re-introduce the ban after 2-3-4 years and abruptly ask me to leave....again. What then? I don't think I ever want to live in a country that treats people like that. My wife & I, are both disgusted with the way we were treated & don't want to go back to a place that threw us out the way it did.
guys nothing has ch
Expatriate carriers of Hepatitis B and C viruses can be deported from Oman, according to the Ministry of Health.
However, the rule is still unknown to many and there are no clear clarifications on why the virus carriers are not welcome in Oman since some citizens are already carriers.
According to the law, there is a mandatory check for Hepatitis B and C during residency medical exams and many expatriates who test positive are denied residency. As per the law, testing for Hepatitis B and C is part of the medical fitness testing rules that is compulsory before obtaining a residency in the country, a senior official at the central public health laboratory in Darsait told Muscat Daily.
At our department, we always check for Hepatitis B and C and if any expatriate is found carrying the virus, he or she is not eligible for residency. As far as Hepatitis A and D are concerned, we do not check for that, the official said.
Residents say that the implementation of the law is affecting the status of their residency. An Arab national, who did not wish to be identified, said he has been living in Oman for almost ten years now. He was recently summoned by health officials to be notified that he has Hepatitis B and told that he has to leave the country within a week.
I have been told that I am medically unfit because I have Hepatitis B and was asked to pack my bags within a week. As far as I am concerned, I have been living in Oman with the virus for the past eight years and no problems have occurred. I am a little confused on what to do now and I have asked the authorities to give me more time to sort out things. I just hope the ban is lifted as I don't think it has much effect. Other countries like UAE have lifted the ban, he said.
However, health experts say that preventing the virus carriers from entering the country will not have an impact on the hepatitis situation in Oman. I think preventing Hepatitis B and C virus carriers from entering Oman will have no impact. Oman has some Hepatitis B and C cases and we are making great strides in preventing them from spreading. There has been a nationwide vaccination campaign since 1990, said Dr Shyam Bawikar, advisor epidemiologist, Ministry of Health.
Hepatitis B is one of the most common infectious diseases in the world and its infections are either acute or chronic. Preventing Hepatitis B is possible as long as one has not been infected with the virus. Hepatitis C also leads to the inflammation of the liver. It is commonly caused by a viral infection, usually as a result of contact with infected body fluids such as blood or using contaminated equipment.
The symptoms of hepatitis include yellowing of the skin and eyes, dark urine, extreme fatigue, vomiting and abdominal pain.

Hi ritz and Jerin,
I just want to check if there is nay latest update about the letter coming from the clinic and both had gone to the DNRD to clarify the ban issue becuase i had called the clinic where my friend had her failed medical and they also advise me to submit the Unfit medical so they can create a letter for the DNRD stating to clear the ban but as you can read from some of the people who shared their stories that they got the letter form the clinic but the DNRD is like ignoring it and asking some documents from the department of foriegn affairs from the home country and this makes the whole story confusing now that is the reason why i want to know if you already had clear your issues to.
Hope i could get a positive replly from anyone here.
Cheers.
I learned that the driver will go and collect my medical report tomorrow morning. There are 3 medical reports to be collected from the same hospital for my company.
Tomorrow the result will be known.
Hi Abandoned by Dubai: Your story is very depressing & shows the tests one has to undergo if you want to have an enduring life in Dubai.DUBAI IS NOT A PLACE FOR LONG TERM PLAYERS. I had similar experience like yours due to HepB & still not completely out of that disaster. Given said that i think from your words, you got extra-ordinary clarity in your life now. What you are thinking & penned down above is whats right and truth.

Hi All
I have submitted the letter to immigration last week and now I am waiting for their action. They said they will call me once the process is done.
All the best guys.
Thanks.
Hi ritz,
Thank you so much for the reply ,so it means we dont need to get any other documents from Phils, like medical certificate authenticated by the UAE embassy we only need a letter from DHA there to clear the ban .Did they mention how many days you can get feedback from them to clear the ban.I hope it is going to be very positive feedback, this is our hope now with the ban.And may i know also to whom you submitted the letter or which counter in DNRD you given the letter?
To All,
Does anyone know how i can request a copy of the old med.certificate where my friend had her unfit med.the problem now is the pRO of the company doesn't have a copy of it becuase it was the main sponsor which is DMCC the freezone company handles the report is there a possiblity that we could request it from the clinic? I just want to get your advise before we will call the clinic.
Cheers.

Today in 2010 is Qatar blocking the family members with hep B, if somebody have the answer please it needs to be documented as I read few months ago in this forum that there was no hep b check in the past in Qatar but I can confirm that there was. Things may be changing in 2010 in Qatar same as it is changing in the Emirats
Hi Ritz,
I read your post.
I had a situation where in i was transferred to Dubai and whilst the medical examination i had HBV+. This was just on the same weekend as the new rules were announced. I also got a permanent ban.
My letter from DOH is also with Immigration since over 10 days and they are not confirming when the ban will be removed.
Await to hear from you so i can guide my PRO accordingly as well. If i get mine sorted out then certainly i will inform.

Well if you go to the link about Kuwait (actually it is for Kuwait oil company), this link will open a web site for Kuwait oil company. In this page there is another link to information about recruitment process which will prompt you to a PDF brochour. Here it says clearly that HBV tests are mandatory to get residence permit in Kuwait.
Based on above, HBV tests are required in Kuwait.
