It`s time we some of the "upper crust" affected by this royal fuck up that is going on.

How much power did he have, Releasing the tape or authorizing the investigation......????

Believe it or not,  the "upper crust" are the ones who brought it to us.  Here in Manaus, our first cases were rich people returning from foreign travel, and the first neighborhoods hit were the richest ones in town.  I think that goes for several major cities.
It got more democratic pretty quickly, though.   :sick

He might as well:  their relationship couldn't get much worse.  Bolsonaro was slamming the Supremes again at today's demonstration  (no mask, of course), and he had to have already known.

Health Alert – U.S. Embassy Brasilia, Brazil (May 24, 2020)

Location:  Brazil

Event:  Travel Restrictions to Enter the United States

Entry is suspended, per Presidential Proclamation, of foreign nationals of all nationalities, including Brazilians, who were present in Brazil within 14 days prior to their arrival at the port of entry in the United States.  This policy, which is intended to prevent the spread of COVID-19, enters into effect 11:59 p.m. eastern daylight time on May 28, 2020.

The travel restriction does not apply to U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents (Green Card Holders), most immediate family members of U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents, and specific categories of individual visa holders who are identified in the Proclamation.

The Proclamation does not cancel flights.  Regular commercial flights to the United States are still available from Sao Paulo and Campinas.  Please contact airlines directly for the most current schedule information.

We continue to encourage U.S. citizens who wish to return to the United States to make commercial flight arrangements as soon as possible unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period.  The COVID-19 pandemic remains an evolving situation and flight schedules may change with little to no notice.  The U.S. government does not currently anticipate arranging repatriation flights from Brazil.

Actions to Take:

·       For the most current information regarding COVID-19, the May 24 Presidential Proclamation, and its impact on travel to the United States, please visit www.dhs.gov and www.whitehouse.gov

·       For information about U.S. bound travel from Brazil, please reach out the to the U.S. Mission to Brazil’s call center at (55) 11 3250-5000.  Callers should then press “0” for more information.

·       Contact your airline with flight questions: United Airlines, Azul, and LATAM.

·       Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive Alerts and Messages from the U.S. Embassy.

Thanks Grizz. I and honoring those today. Have ribbed the ribs yesterday and will smoke 6 hours today.

Paraguay will open stores (for PY residence) today. We will see, but since 95% of sales are from BR it will be rough. BR remains close until June 22 and with the US$ being high CdE states it will be hard to pay the electric bills because many prices in CdE are based on the US$.
Smuggling remains at a high level. $250,000.00 US$. 70,000 cigarettes', 900 kg of pot (with gun fire by PY navy and smugglers) in the last 4 days.
Foz has 200 openings for Municipal Police, if interested?

As a "Guarda Municipal" they probably require you to be a natural born citizen just like the president or
the officers of the armed forces to take care of the security of the nation.

Simple recipe I opted for! Just salt and a nice juicy picanha over really, really hot coals...

when really necessary. Be safe all!

Today's Estadão is saying that the real is the weakest currency among its peers, and that international banks view real-denominated assets as toxic because of mismanagement of the pandemic, the economy, and the environment.   Some are predicting a rally by the end of the year, but that's pretty late to keep the lights on in CdE.

Good luck filling those police jobs.  They may have to loosen their standards:   gang infiltration of the force is a real danger, with that number of vacancies in the middle of a crisis.

Yeah, I can imagine that moving almost a ton of pot might attract some attention when nothing else is moving, even in Paraguay.

Texanbrazil

Yeah the pot was on the PY river bank and got spotted and short fire fight. All the rest were in trucks or on the driver.
Man it got cold last night and set me back on smoking. Have to watch it now.

Texanbrazil

Majority will be serving in the "health police"! They have open some dining with 50% of what normal was. As I mention I was out last week and saw too many w/o masks and chatting side x side.

But if we have lockdowns for a few more months, the economy will be in ruins; hyperinflation could ensue with a new currency later equally 1:1 to the dollar - that is catastrophic to US retirees here especially those receiving a one income SS pension (those that arrived early). Could pay rent only and very little or nothing for food!

I wonder if he is legit.

No. First time to see his name. The name is kinda "complex." Why are you asking?

Well, he says that his name is actually Mr. Stewart and that he has a business proposition.  Supposedly he is in Brazil.

GuestPoster204

Well, it's not that easy if you don't know who your business partner is. I was offered a partnership twice but I don't want to be an active participant in running a business at this
time.

GuestPoster204

You're a business consultant, so you're very
qualified.

Texanbrazil

Ron, I could not see any business here right now.
I get a few and i reject or sometimes just block.
Maybe a KFC but not now or at my age relying on others to manage such.
