Saying where you are in Viet Nam may help your cause.

In Hanoi I know where you get that nylon , but fittings not sure.  i normally order from China, waiting shipment now but I did not order much 50mm or fittings.

Make sure to spray it down with an antiviral spray when you receive it.

Maybe I also should use hazmat suit to open it? *facepalm

I am using freight forwarding company, I use Taobao (.com) to find items and then send links with Email and they will order them. pm me and I will send you their email and you can ask them. Cost is around 2$ per kg but no need to worry what will shipping company can import.

Dont know if this is any help but Sendo & Lazada do a whole lot of like webbing & fittings & safety belt stuff for cars, working at heights etc..search under ...day an toan. If your stuck you could possibly modify!
same search on Google shows quite a few places with shops & offices in  HCMC that might be worth checking out. Good luck!

Are you doing just one or is this for production?  If just one order from Lazada.

Jlgarbutt

Webbing sounds a lot like the same stuff used for car seatbelts.

It's similar.  Basically it's the woven "strap" material on everything from duffel bags to backpacks and available in different widths.  I have a manufacturer here that just finished sewing me about 5,000 canvas construction tool bags.  He has access to all of this including the snap together buckles, etc.

Hi,
Just a one off, i have seen a 4 point 3" racing harness on lazada but 3 point 2" is what i really need.

The metal car type fixings would be safer than plastic fixings, i did think of duffle bag strap clasps but plastic may break.

Ive seen suppliers that make the webbing around HCMC but not run across the fixings,,, maybe one of the markets sell?

AndyHCMC

Hi,

I did think of bag straps and fixings,,, can you get metal clasp and adjusters?

My sister runs a company that can go through six figures of webbing a year. It’s all from China or an intermediary in Spain that sources it from China.

She did ask me to help look in Vietnam but can’t say I’ve put much effort into it. There is a clothes wholesale market on the outskirts towards Bac Ninh but before Tu Son. It’s mainly for clothes, a section for fabrics and a few stores that do random things like webbing too. Probably not worth the journey for a one off project. The area is like a strange drive by roadside shopping, Vietnamese style. If you ever go you’ll see what I mean.

You could try reusing stuff from other products. Try daiso or better yet Declathon now have a store in Hanoi. I’ve seen straps and buckles for backpacks and climbing gear in their UK stores before and their products are quite consistent everywhere. That’s probably your best bet.

Are you after stuff like this?

I have a very good supplier for webbing here in Vietnam and I know for sure that he does make it all in house.  Lower cost than China, good quality.  Also if she is getting it from China she may be at risk for some supply interruptions.  PM me if you want me to quote the material.  The factory is here in HCMC.
