S Pass Appeal

DinoRoar

Hi,

I’ve read the threads regarding S Pass on this forum and noticed that some of it has been there for a few years. So, i’ll just like to check for some stuff.

My S Pass renewal was applied on 21/02/2020. Results came back a week later showing it was rejected. It was due to a shortfall in my salary (lesser than 3 digits)  and so my company increased my salary and appealed during the first week of March. I understand that appeals take AT LEAST 3 weeks and may take slightly longer sometimes.

The HR if my company says that they have checked with MOM for an update but to no avail and that they are worried that if they keep rushing MOM, MOM will immediately reject my renewal. However, the management from my company has been ‘fighting’ for my renewal.

My current S Pass expires soon and I am extremely concerned. So, i’ll like to check on the following :

1) With the current Covid-19 situation going on, I did not travel for the whole of this year. Would this help in my case?

2) With the current Covid-19 situation and recession that Singapore is facing, is my S-Pass appeal going to be affected?

3) Should I call MOM to check on my own or leave it to my HR?

4) If MOM has already rejected my appeal, will the application date on the MOM website still be at 21/02/2020 or would it be changed to the appeal date? I’ve read this thread and been getting different answers.

Thanks in advance!!

1. No.
2. Nobody knows, but it will certainly not get better.
3. MoM will usually only reply to youremployer.
4. The application date is not affected by an appeal.
