Moving to Barcelona post-Covid 19

tracygrant

Dear all,

I am a British female in the UK planning to relocate to Barcelona after lock down and Covid 19 is all over.
I have my Spanish NIE residency and work permit and will be looking for work as a TEFL English teacher for adults /High School levels.
I am also open to any Bar work as I know there alot of Irish bars in the City. I spent the last two summers in and out of Barcelona having worked as a Tour Guide for Thomas Cook.
It would be much appreciated if anyone can recommend anywhere to which I could apply for any job vacancies which may be advertised after all of this crisis is over.
Trying to be optimistic!

Many thanks.

Tracy

I am confused.

The NIE is just a fiscal ID number conferring no rights of residency

One can only have an EU Citizen Registration Certificate (green paper) the right to live in Spain, if they reside in Spain.

You imply you are resident in uk as you say you are planning to relocate

I do not know about having a work permit, but I do not think EU nationals require a work permit as they have the right to work under EU law.

This is an extract
“ As an EU national you are entitled to take up work or look for a job in another EU country.”
