The lessons of the crisis in Greece

Hello everyone,

While there is still a certain amount of uncertainty in our lives, the situation seems to be beginning to change in Greece and globally.
We have had to show courage, tenacity and even ingenuity in many areas, in the way we work, in being alone or with our families, in how we look after our children, or we channel our stress and emotions in the face of this health crisis that has turned our daily lives upside down.
We wanted to hear your feedback on these last few months in Greece.

What will you remember from this very special period?

Have these unusual times allowed you discover things about yourselves or your loved ones?

Did this period lead you to make changes in your lifestyle that you would like to maintain in the future? If so, which ones?

How do you plan for the future in Greece? Have the last few weeks caused you to review your priorities or certain projects?

Thank you for your contribution and take care of yourself,

Loïc

Hi Loïc,

I spend this crisis in France, near Paris.

My job wasn't impacted really, I work now from home rather then in customer's office.

I scheduled to come back in Greece (Nea Smyrni) for Easter and blocked in France due to Covid crisis.

Hopefully, I didnt booked flight reservation.

2 days ago, I booked flight to Greece for end of July, before price increase strongly, but we don't know actually what  will be real health checks at this time.

During these last month, I increased my phone contact with my greek family and was very surprized to discover that greek citizen were very respectful of the confinement rules.

Sure that in the next few month, in Greece and here in France I will be careful to limit my outings, and perhaps that Greek citizen will be less serene.

Generally, I spend a week or two in summer in a region of Greece : not sure that I'll do the same this summer.

The future for Greece is to take advantage of the current opportunity where all the EEC states want to bring industrial productions back to Europe, I think that the Greek government should position itself to be a candidate to host these industrial productions, and no longer depend on tourism only.

Personally, if a new crisis of this type were to occur, I would think of being in Greece from the start, and not finding myself blocked in France.

Best Regards

Hello JFB and thank you for your kind answer,

I really hope that the lockdown near Paris was still OK and hope that you will return to Greece soon enough.

Thank you again for your testimony and a safe travel back to Greece ;)

Regards.
