How would job termination affect PR's approval?

ussiee

Hi, I came to Singapore for work but was super unlucky. I was terminated within my probation period. Reason given is I was under performance. But the real reason behind is the company does not have proper workflow management, making all the employees jobs incredibly tough. Subsequently, I found a job but was asked to resign within a month after they found me unfit for the job. But the reason behind is I was hired for another position rather than the one I was interviewed for.

Right now I have been working in another job for close to a year, and consider applying PR. Will my employment history affect my PR's approval?

It may affect as ICA will see the consistency on income, tax payment and contribution towards the society. Secondly, how long have you been to here, in your case you are hardly 1yr in SG. At least 3yrs stay to show that you have a steady income and contribution towards society.

Same time, it depends on which race you are belong to.  There is a quota system which maintains the percentage of three major races (Chinese 73%, Malay 12% and Indians 9%). If you are either of the race but Malaysian then chances of getting approval in their respective categories much higher.  Good luck

As Surya said above: Apply only after you have completed 3 years work in Singapore to have any chance of approval - unless you are world-known scientist, athlete, artist or another kind of profession that Singapore wants to attract.
If you stay in one job until then, your current black mark as job-hopper will also be alleviated.
